Is this a chemical? Lines darker in afternoon and nearly negative in morning

I’m confused about my tests - they’ve been all over the place and wondered if anyone has had a similar experience.

Not sure how many DPO I am but can’t be more than 17. I’m on cycle day 34. Have been testing positive for 4 days but a mix of light lines and darker lines. For some reason my tests are really light with FMU and darker in the afternoon.

This morning the test was the lightest it had been, so I tested again at the same time in the afternoon as I have been doing when I’ve had the stronger tests buts it’s still quite light - much lighter than yesterday.

Is this likely a chemical? I had a chemical last month but all the lines were much lighter and never got darker so this seems different but the progression isn’t there that I had with my successful pregnancy and I’m concerned about the light tests in the mornings, plus the fact this afternoon’s was lighter than yest. I’m still breastfeeding my son so wondering if this is having an impact. Has anyone had this and it’s been successful? Any thoughts appreciated!

I have absolutely no pregnancy symptoms so finding it hard to believe I’m pregnant.

1st pic today’s afternoon that is light again, 2nd pic yesterday’s afternoon that was strongest yet, 3rd pic day before afternoon

Stop testing. Have you let your GP know you're pregnant yet? Do that to get into the system, and stop testing. A positive test usually means you're pregnant, fixating on more and more tests and the colour of the lines only stresses you out. It's very early to have symptoms anyway at 17DPO max. Congratulations!

If you’re concerned about progression the best thing to do is wait and only test 48 hours later.
Testing like this, a couple times a day, might cause you more anxiety as there can be fluctuation depending on how much youve drank and time of day etc.

but you know HCG should double every 48 hours so please try wait 2 days and test again and you’ll see it get a bit darker all being well.

Im sorry to hear about your CP. I also had a chemical recently and the line faded away after a few days rather than got darker. I know how anxious you must be, but try to hold out for 48 hours.
