Is it possible to ovualte late and still get pregnant?

I’m on cd 24 and still waiting to get my positive OPK it looks like it’s getting darker but then I go to test and it’s still not positive. This is the first month tracking ovulation but fourth month ttc and I have irregular periods the past cycles we just dtd every other day but that didn’t work that’s why I’ve decided to track this time.
We’re still dtd every other day/ every third day then when I get my positive we will do it more but I’m just worried it’s getting too late in the cycle to ovulate? I haven’t got any diagnosis for the reason why my periods are irregular. I keep finding things about people with pcos and ovulating late but I haven’t got that 🤷🏼‍♀️ (of what I don’t off ultrasound was normal) (currently waiting to see gynaecologicist )

Hi, as long as your luteal phase is a decent length (over 10 days) you should be fine. Your luteal phase is the time between ovulating and when your period comes. It's a short luteal phase that makes it more difficult to conceive, because there's less time for a fertilised egg to get comfy in the lining and start to grow before your period comes. You won't know how long your luteal phase is until you've tracked your ovulation for a few months and found a pattern. Just keep tracking until you get a positive OPK. I have irregular periods and a fairly short lutueal phase (9-10 days), a few months ago I didn't ovulate until day 31 of my cycle. I've conceived 3 times in the past.

@Girlfolk do you know what causes your irregular periods? It is frustrating waiting for that line and not knowing if I even ovulate
