Hi everyone, just looking for some advice and people in the same boat.
2 failed ivf rounds, 1 chemical pregnancy in latest ivf.

Recently pushed for some blood work and I'm alil concerned at some results, I have paid and booked for a consultation but its not due til a fortnight, so any advice or notes would be appreciated so I am prepared to ask the right questions if need be.

Here are my results ( Do any of these effect the ivf process or implantation?)

TSH LEVELS 5.0 (High)
White blood count 12.90 (High)
Lymphocyte count 5.24 (High)
Mean cell haemoglobin concentration 359 (High)
Serum inorganic phosphate 0.66 (Low)
Iv put High/Low next to each, meaning its higher or lower then it should be.

I understand no ones a expert here but I really would appreciate guidance from others that have had similar results.
Thankyou x

Hi OP!

I don't know an awful lot tbh but having a thyroid condition myself I was told that TSH should be between 1-2 for conception. So at 5 perhaps that is playing a part? (I am trying to conceive atm so spoke to my consultant about it)Daffodil

Hi chocpot thankyou for taking out the time to read and reply x
I just checked the recommended level and you are right, I'm suprised and disappointed that these levels wernt checked before my ivf rounds. I had no idea tsh levels played a big role in conceiving. How do I lower my levels? I really hope my Dr suggests something and dosnt put it down to no action needed. Have things changed for you since lowering your tsh levels?

You should be checked by endokrinologist, do free T4 and T3 levels as well, he will probably put you on levothyroxine

Aw that’s ok you’re welcome, I can appreciate how frustrated you must feel.

So as the poster above said you would need to get your T4 and T3 thyroid levels checked. Usually if it is an underactive thyroid they will give you levothyroxine to make up for what hormone you are potentially missing. With me mine is the other way around and I had an overactive thyroid. So at first my T3 and 4 were high and my TSH undetectable at 0.01 lol. I have had a course of treatment (still on it but the pregnancy friendly one) and my TSH is now 1.5. I have been trying TTC for 3 months so still early days. Do you have a follow up?

@dormicumema hey thank you for replying, my T4 levels just came through, they are at 12.3, so in the recommended bracket of (9.0 to 19.0) so I'm not sure what that means now as it's only the tsh levels that's high?

@Chocpot1986 yes very frustrating, I went in blindly with ivf 2 times so now I'm litrally looking into everything myself so I know what's what and how to question the decisions made. Iv never had my thyroid checked until I came across some forums. My T4 levels seem normal at 12.3 am i correct? As its not high lighted from the lab as its within the range of 9 to 19. I do have a appointment but as I'm paying for the consultation I want to make the most of it with any questions or queries lol
I'm glad you got your levels sorted, it's a long stressful journey so wishing you all the best and sending you loads of baby dust x
