So I'm 9 days late for my period and I took a test 1 day after my period due date and it was negative. I took a test yesterday and still, it was negative.

I have tender breasts which have gotten less tender but still hurt to touch where as 2 days ago they were mad tingley. I do usually get this as pms along with cramping but I have zero cramping this month. I felt a little nauseous too over the last week on and off. Strangely i also feel really good.

I was wondering if anyone experienced the same and followed on to get a positive test? I'm just so confused as I've never been this late and usually quite regular. Just looking for someone to talk too. Thabk you

@Starry1234 hiya! I was 5 days late this month. Was also taking many pregnancy tests! I’m usually bang on with a 28 day cycle. Not sure what happened. Didn’t feel stressed. But I did have a bad cold and a 24 hr sickness bug around when I was due to ovulate so maybe it delayed it?!

I'm sort of in the same position - 6 days late and negative tests. I think I could have ovulated late but when I've calculated the latest would have been around the 9th... so thinking I should have a positive now if so?

and whilst not 'not' trying, the timing of this month is not ideal I should be starting a new job! Definitely should have been more careful based on that

Are you actively trying atm?

@ToeBeans24 well woth you saying that I had a horrible flu/covid the week after i was due to ovulate so I don't know if that's the cause of it. I'm now having cramps 😫 so not really sure now and starting to wonder if I'm not actually pregnant.

@Overthinker111 were not actively trying but as we don't want the stress of it but I'm not on any contraception and just taking the 'if it happens' approach.

Oh bless you, it's not great timing but that's how it usually goes isn't it haha. I'm now starting with cramping 😩 and i feel like it's AF.

Pregnancy and pms symptoms are so similar aren't they so it's hard to know until AF actually arrives

I don't feel I've had any symptoms so i dont know what to think. Slight nausea but I feel I usually have that at some points during my cycle anyway. Sort of just want AF to come now so I know where I am!

@Overthinker111 yeah they're so similar. Although the cramps are getting quite painful I've had to take some paracetamol. I'm not bleeding yet though which I find unusual. I don't get cramps this painful. But like you I'd just like it to come now if is because then it's more of a clear answer. I'm just not sure why I'm so late it's baffling me

@ToeBeans24 it's really really painful. No bleeding though but I recon could start as I don't think if it was implantation it would hurt this much?

I got my first positive test 11 days after my period was due...he's now almost 13....

@Blueuggboots wow that's crazy!! It's strange isn't it coz it reality it should just be so straight forward. After the painful cramps last night I've had no bleeding so I'm starting to wonder if it was implantation. I just wish I knew exactly when I ovulated. Hopefully I get a BFP soon.

Ah i have everything crossed for you! Have you done another test?

I wish I knew when I ovulate as well it would make things a little easier to work out!

@Overthinker111 I did one this morning, still BFN I just don't get it. Not sure if docs will do anything if I call them tomorrow though

It's definitely worth speaking to them, I did an online request with my gp on Friday and they said they were going to ring me tomorrow. I had a bfn today too

@Overthinker111 I've put a request in and hopefully they call me today. Not sure they will do much as they just pass it off usually because of the bfns. I had cramping again last night. Only mild though still no sign of af. My boobs don't hurt at all anymore so something must be going on. Have you had a call back yet?

So they didn't ring me back she replied online saying that urine tests are just as good as detecting hcg as bloods so they don't send for bloods now. I asked as I've got a holiday to Thailand booked too in Feb (timing is great!) So wanted to know whether I need to rearrange that due to zika virus. Gp said there is 'no know contraindications to travelling to Thailand in early pregnancy' which I don't think is correct!

I've done another test and negative too... I have no idea what's going on

@Overthinker111 so so sorry for the late reply I've been unwell. My af came on 23rd which made me exactly 2 weeks late. It was so painfull too. Got intouch with docs and they're doing some bloods. How are tou?? Have you had a bfp?

No worries... hope you are feeling better! I came on on cd46 so it did eventually arrive. I may speak to the Dr's too as mine have been quite irregular... is that why the Dr is doing bloods for you? X
