Overactive thyroid and TTC

Hi,

(Sorry if this posted twice - can't find my post!)

Just been diagnosed with an overactive thyroid. I don’t really have symptoms so it’s quite a shock. I've been referred to endocrinology and told to stop ttc.

I've been unsuccessfully ttc for 12 months, I've just turned 31.

Could the overactive thyroid be what has stopped me getting pregnant? Is this easily treatable and I can then get pregnant once treated?

Thank you!

It is possible for an over or under active thyroid to compromise fertility - though not in all instances.

There are certainly treatments available. Your doctor will be able to advise the most effective approach based on the nature of your condition.
