Should the line be darker by now?

Hi all,

Wonder if I could have anyone’s opinion as can’t talk to anyone in real life about this yet. These are my 2 tests, I’m due on my period tomorrow - do you think the second test line should be darker by now? The first test (top test) was taken on Sunday 14th and the second test (lower test) was taken today on Tuesday 16th. So I waited 48 hrs hoping to see it darken.

When would you expect the test line to be as dark as the control line?

I know ultimately only time will tell and it’s a fragile time but they looked quite similar to me so I really wasn’t sure if this was a good sign and have got myself all worried. I had thought maybe being due on my period tomorrow would mean a darker line would be expected by now, let me know what you think.

No bleeding or spotting so far which are usually signs period is on the way. Lots of cramping though the last 5 days. Thanks so much in advance x

It's visibly darker. I wouldn't worry about the darkness. You are clearly pregnant. Congratulations!

Thanks both for your reassurance, I think I had got it in my head that I should have had a “dye stealer” by now. Have had a good word with myself this week and haven’t tested since this update on Tuesday. Still no bleeding or spotting and boobs hurt, so will just hope that’s a good sign and will try keep calm over these next few weeks. Trying to tell myself that if something were wrong my body would hopefully let me know, so not going to do anymore tests and obsess over lines! Thanks again x

My lines actually got lighter and I didn’t get a dye stealer until 5.5 weeks. Currently feeding my baby. Lines aren’t great indicators. Stopping testing is the best thing you can do. Congratulations

I didn’t get a dye stealer until 21 DPO, am now 26 weeks pregnant. Congratulations!
