Trying after early miscarriage

Is a miscarriage the right term if I was only 5 weeks ish? Anyway, any knowledge able people here who can help? I have been bleeding on and off this week and today it feels like a proper period so sadly this pregnancy was not viable for me. I've cried a lot but I'm trying to focus on the future. Does my bleed at the moment count as a period? And will I likely ovulate as normal in the coming weeks?

Hi love
yes it counts as a miscarriage.

i would wait for all bleeding to stop. Get yourself through at least one cycle. You could do ovulation tests to see what’s happening too.

I went through the same with my first MC. Gave it a month to allow my body to reset and started trying again.

Thank you for your response. Yes I do have plenty of ovulation strips so perhaps I'll start doing them from next weekend just to see. The way I'm feeling at the moment, DTD is not really on my mind but I suppose there's no harm in not using protection if we do this month.

So sorry OP.

I had a miscarriage about 6 weeks at the end of May 2021, bled for about 10 days. Took a period in the June, and fell pregnant the July cycle.

Sending you baby dust ✨

Sorry to hear your sad news. It took me 10 months to get pregnant with baby that I miscarried at 6/7 weeks. Then was pregnant within a month of trying (after a period) with DC who is now 10. Early miscarriages are soooo common, it's just that no one tells you this. It's very upsetting, but it's very possible that you'll be pregnant again very soon💐

Sorry for your loss OP.

Unfortunately miscarriage is very common. I had a miscarriage with my second child, the following month fell pregnant immediately (he’s 24 now).

Years ago, you wouldn’t have even known you were pregnant- no ovulation or pregnancy sticks. You would just have assumed you were having a period.

Doesn't make it any less sad for you now.

Thanks all, this gives me hope!

Yes you're definitely right @Anewuser although I have to say, I'm as regular as clockwork, 4 weeks pretty much to the day so I would have been suspicious as I'm bleeding nearly 2 weeks later!

Hoping I'll be regular still after I stop bleeding.
