Stitch like pain right side

I'm trying very hard not to symptom spot but yesterday I had something very odd happen

I'm currently DPO 10 of cycle 6 or 7 TTC, some known fertility issues. I normally get mild cramps in the TWW anyways due to progesterone but nothing particularly worrying or out of the blue.

Yesterday we were in the car and I began to feel a very sharp pain on my right side - like a severe ovulation pain. I can only describe as a "stitch" like I would get after exercising but quite deep. We had been in the car so no exercising.

It lasted a few minutes. I got out and walked and it was still there. Lasted in total maybe 15 mins or so and now has completely gone away.

No bleeding or any other new symptoms.

I'm planning to take a test on first day of expected AF. To avoid disappointment.

Has anyone experienced anything similar in the TWW?
I haven't had any bleeding to suggest implantation though.
And would you test earlier or just wait out till AF?

Thanks

With my first I had very similar pain in my left side one evening. Surprisingly painful. It was implantation but I never had any bleeding.
I’d wait until AF is late before testing personally.

@Richie23
Thank you. I'm going to wait until AF is late/ first expected day before testing

Do you remember if it lasted when you experienced this?
Mine was honestly quite brief and was just there for maybe 15-mins max and has now gone away and nothing else.

Would've thought would last longer if implantation

It didn’t last long, probably about 15/20 minutes or so. I thought AF was going to be early so made a hot water bottle but then it stopped and didn’t have any more pain etc after that and I forgot about it until AF just didn’t show up.

Thanks
This afternoon - I had a small blob of browny coloured cervical mucus when I wiped. Would be 12 DPO

I do usually get abit of brown spotting before AF flow so could be AF on the way ☹️
No cramping though
Fingers crossed

I had the same this month but in my left Sadie at 6dpo and it kept coming back in like short waves over three days!? I was testing from 9dpo - 11dpo all were bfn but today at 12dpo I only had a digital test left so thought I’d use it be cause why not period due in 4 days and it came up saying pregnant 1-2 weeks!! I still don’t believe it so going to buy a box of tests today to make sure, I miscarried in June 2024 so I’m so worried it won’t stick!

I would say I experienced a “stitch” on what I believe to be implantation. It was on my left side and in my lower abdomen. But honestly it could have been just that - a stitch, it’s only because I’ve been timing everything, I realised it could’ve fitted with implantation. It’s hard to believe a thing so tiny inside you could cause such a noticeable symptom! Fingers crossed this is your month

Englishrose35 · 14/01/2024 22:32

Sadly it was AF coming three days early ☹️

I think it is so difficult not to symptom spot every little thing and agree that actually what are the chances of actually feeling it.

TTC is so hard

Sorry OP. I know how you feel, took us a year and I honestly don’t think we did anything differently the month it happened. Nor do I think I was stressing less because it’s impossible not to stress really. Wishing you all the luck

Thank you. It really is hard.
I think a lot of this is just going to be chance/ luck. The worst is that when it comes abit earlier than expected - I think it could be implantation bleeding as I do get spotting on the first day ☹️

Did it take you a year without any known issues? - we have PCOS and mild male issues plus I'm being worked up for endometriosis. So it makes it all the more stressful I think

I only got my 21 day progesterone level checked which was normal. Partner never got round to being checked although I had been nagging him. But we’re healthy weights with no known health issues. I found going to the Gp even to talk about infertility really hard.

I know on here implantation bleeding seems to be very common, and I know it is a thing, but I think it’s more normal to not have it. I guess I’m saying maybe don’t put too much hope into a bit of bleeding before period due.

My only advice would be to try and have sex loads leading up to ovulation if you can roughly guess when it’ll be, keep legs up afterwards and take the folic acid supplements (I had stopped taking them and regret that now as stressing about things). I also think trying to keep busy so you’re not constantly despairing about this is important. I found I was at my worst when I had time off which was quite annoying. I know you have PCOS which can make things harder but I’m really sure it will happen for you :)
