Just wondering what's everyone's go to test,
I always used boots early response and the past 2 tests in the last few days have shown a line and then disappeared after an hour. (No colour but came up within timeframe)
I'm cycle 8/9 of TTC and currently 11dpo.
I've lost all trust in the boots ones now so wanting to change for my next cycle.

First response early response have been the best for me.

MrsB2019x · 08/01/2024 20:10

I swear by Easy@Home from Amazon

Skye49 · 08/01/2024 20:13

The same thing happened to me today, did a boot early test and came up with a vvvfl with in the 3 mins but then disappeared after abput 10 mins. Maybe theres a few dodgy tests going around. X

Nmmck93 · 08/01/2024 20:18

@staybyyou they have been discontinued in the UK and can't be got in shoos, I ordered ones from a seller on ebay and they sent them and they where a few months expired.

@MrsB2019x I have had those, might have to go back to the, I just didn't like strip tests and would rather the plastic ones with the window 🙈

@Skye49 yeah, it's happened to me twice in the last few days from the same box. So I think I'm going to stop using them.

I don't trust Boots tests at all as they showed me negative for several days when others showed me already positive (periods late by then). I always trusted First Response the most but I have heard here on MN it has started giving evap lines so not sure if the quality has changed.

L00k4m3x · 08/01/2024 20:22

@Nmmck93 I’ve gotten my last 3 boxes from Amazon and they’re all in date. Could they be being discontinued because they’ve replaced the lid with a solid pink coloured lid and not a transparent one? And they’ll be rolled back out in to stores with the new design? That was my first thought.

mumofone1111 · 08/01/2024 21:00

@@Nmmck93 first response haven't been discontinued might have just stopped supplying shops. I buy them on Amazon and have over a year left on them

Nmmck93 · 08/01/2024 21:18

@L00k4m3x @Olika @mumofone1111 oh I asked a few chemist's and shops and was told they where discontinued 🙈 I don't have an amazon account but I will make one and order them for next cycle once AF shows. I kinds know I'm out but just need AF to confirm it for me. Got my usual spots coming out and backache & slight cramps. The only unusual thing for me was a massive sharp pain that lasted 5/10 minutes with a hot flush accompanying it. Thanks for the advice girls. Think FRER and some easy @ home for backups for next cycle.

I personally cannot see a line in that picture.

JinglePringle · 08/01/2024 21:27

Internet cheapies 100% test as much as you want and they are just as accurate as frer. I used a frer to confirm the one and only time I got a positive on a cheapie.

Emmaev · 08/01/2024 21:44

I rate cheapies from both home bargains and Poundland. I ended up using a few during the 2ww and tested positive on both approx 10dpo.

OhpoorMe · 08/01/2024 22:20

Outliers · 08/01/2024 21:22

I personally cannot see a line in that picture.

Me neither - is there supposed to be?

Nmmck93 · 08/01/2024 23:35

@Outliers @OhpoorMe it can be seen in the picture. But here's a more defined one & circled.

@JinglePringle @Emmaev thanks girlie's. Think I'll stock up in a few different brands and just try them all lol.

Skye49 · 09/01/2024 00:24

Let me know what brands u pick, i cant seem to find any i trust anymore. Good luck x

mumofone1111 · 09/01/2024 06:39

Can you see it without shining a light behind it?

Nmmck93 · 09/01/2024 07:35

@Skye49 I will do lovely! X

@mumofone1111 yes it could be seen with the naked eye vvvf but wouldn't pick up on camera. As I said though, within 15 minutes in total it had then disappeared so I'm not saying it's positive saying it was a really bad evap/indent within the 5 minute time frame. 🙈 my post isn't asking if it's positive would just like new brands to try for my next cycle.

@Nmmck93 Hey Op 👋🏼 I swear I used every type of test available this time around expensive FRER, CB etc.... and surprisingly I ended up getting my vvfl at 12 dpo on a 'clear and simple' cheapy I brought from 'Savers' 😂 Then got an even clearer one the same day from a pound shop one... so may be worth a trip there if you are UK based 🥰 Sending lots of baby dust your way ✨
