Best app when TTC?

Hi all ❤️ I'm new here so please bear with me!

Can I ask, what app do you use when TTC? How important are they?

Background: I'm TTC for 6m, trying for first baby, 34yo... currently I log my cycle dates just on notes myself and do clearblue advanced ovulation testing so I know which week to DTD. Haven't used an app as don't like the privacy (lack of) aspect. But I'm getting worried that nothing is happening for me so want to up my game in January! I would be grateful for any tips for other things I should be doing from the TTC pros! I'm taking folic acid too. Thanks 🙏

I used Flo with my first. Am using Flo and also doing ovulation tests and recording in Premom. The apps tend to be out by a day from each other, so it’s why I like to use both so I’m more aware of a potential ovulation date.

I highly recommend fertility friend. The free version is good, but the premium which is £20 (?) a year is really excellent. They are completely private and don't share data. They also do lots of research into conception and women's health and publish it on their app. Its abit dated in design and clunky to get your head around but far superior to other apps if you're a data/factual person.

Thanks so much, I appreciate it

I do exactly the same as this! I cant speak to the privacy aspect but I like using both. Flo for actually tracking my cycle and premom for logging my ovulation tests. I have the premium version of Flo, but the free version of premom.

Hey, I am using Clue, Flo and PreMom, all the free versions 🙂

I use Clue to track my cycle, it’s got a really easy user interface but the downside is that you can’t log ovulation tests on the free version.

Premom probably the best of both worlds, and super handy if you’re actively using OPKs.

Flo…not sure I’m getting much out of this as I’m covered by the other 2, and the constant ads asking to upgrade are annoying. Probably my least favourite.

Flo was free first time I started tracking over 5 years ago! Was pretty new I guess and it was great. Started again this year and paid to upgrade and it's very accurate and informative. Gives you great personal insights, comes with lots of reading material I find useful as well as enjoyable. I recommend it to friends and family who all now use it (sorry I'm not being paid to advertise I promise!) I just find it works for me 😊

iPhone have a built in cycle tracking function on health if you are concerned about the privacy aspect

Is premom mainly useful if you're doing BBT?

I now have Flo after others posted about it, which seems good in terms of making it easy to track dates - also I use clearblue advanced digital for ovulation testing and you can enter the results on there.

Should I be measuring BBT? Seems unnecessary since doing the clearblue ovulation tests?

Am I missing anything from the other apps?

(I still hate the privacy aspect of Flo and would absolutely not be entering a lot of the random data they prompt you to enter! I'm just using it for cycle dates)

Hi, no Premom isn’t particularly for BBT, most people (including me) use it to take the photos of OPKs as it tells you when it’s peak. But if you’re using Clearblue you wouldn’t necessarily need that.
I dont do BBT, I used to in my first TTC with my son, but now trying again I don’t find it necessary.
