First response faint line but negative digital

Hi looking for thoughts and opinions as this is driving me mad! I’m dpo14 and have been getting very faint lines on various early sensitivity tests, but not really getting any darker. This morning I tested on a first response test to try to get more clarity on what is going on, got a faint line, so followed it with the first response digital which said no. I’m assuming it’s a chemical and that my period will arrive late… I’m on day 29 and normally my cycles are 25-29 days long but no sign of period yet. Have used first morning urine on all tests. No symptoms of pregnancy but have been experiencing weird cramps which I don’t normally get before my period. Has anyone else been through a similar situation?

Thank you for reading this 🙏

I would have thought a line like that would produce a positive digi that’s strange. I thought it was going to be a squinter when I read the title

i guess don’t lose hope and perhaps this digi is much less sensitive than the other tests and maybe test again in 2 days and see
🤞🏻🤞🏻

The colour of the line is a bit off for being 14dpo. By now I would expect it to be pink but yours is like a line without colour. I would wait for few more days and test again if your periods don't start.

Thank you for your reply this is a better picture, but interesting to hear you think the colour isn’t quite right for dpo14. I’m mentally prepared for a chemical 😢

@MrBigsCat they were both first response tests but just read in the packet that because this test detects low levels of hCG it is possible that the test may give positive results, even if you’re not pregnant 😔

I am not an expert so maybe you just need a few more days to have a positive on the digital. I have seen quite a few lines on MN and even being faint they have had pink colour in them whereas yours is bland. This is how mine looked at around when my periods were due.

@TTCemotionalrollercoaster im in exactly the same boat as you it’s just like being left in limbo. Have you any update? I’m 16 dpo vvvfl on normal test, fl on early test yesterday which is concerning. 😭😭😭think it’s a chemical too just need af to show up

strawberry2017 · 07/01/2024 18:04

I've read on here loads of times the digital ones aren't as sensitive, and that other test is 100% a positive!
I bet if you do another digital in a few days time it's a yes

TTCemotionalrollercoaster · 07/01/2024 21:10

@Hollycharlie i feel your pain! I’m going to wait a few days and see what happens but I’m resigned it’s probably a chemical. Hoping you have more luck! Do keep us posted.

@TTCemotionalrollercoaster big hugs. I’ve resigned to having a chemical too if I’m honest. Currently having a glass of red so that’s how much I think this will stick as it’s so stressful. I’m fully aware that lines should be blazing by now. I wish I had never had a mmc as I’d be so naive to all this ttc stuff if I hadn’t. Good luck hun hope we have had late implantation, outside having a chemical my only other explanation would be implantation taking 8-10 days and hcg levels another 7 to rise to good detectable levels. Small glimmer of hope but totally prepared for a period which currently there is no sign of. 😬

This was a couple of years ago, yours looks positive aswell but this was mine about 12-14dpo and ended up being a chemical had miscarriage at about 28dpo

@Angelgrace2 congratulations everything crossed for you. Reassuring that both tests are giving positive results. Unfortunately mine ended up being a chemical.
