Need help before tonight

I’ve been testing twice a day and got a smiley face on Wednesday morning and then peak in the evening so tonight the 48 hours should be up. I’ve just tested with another test after curiosity and it’s negative should I have sex before tonight or is my peak fertile window over.

If you want to do it then just do, regardless of whether it’s your fertile window. Can’t hurt right?

Do it tonight or every other day during fertile window to cover

It won't do any harm. That is if you actually want to have sex.

Thank you yes I would like sex I always do. Bit exhausted though but if it increased my chances I would do it. As it was negative this morning I was just confused about if it was worth it

When we were TTC I thought our best timing was a Friday evening but my DH was exhausted from work so nothing happened. On Saturday evening we had a good night together and conceived our DD. So I think it's definitely a good idea to maximise your chances even if the test already showed peak earlier.

Your peak means ovulation in 24-48 hours, as sperm can live up to five days you need to have sex before the 48 hours to maximise catching the egg (it doesn’t last as long as the sperm). I myself would have sex for the day of smiley face and the next two days.
