TTC #2, Temp Tracking

We're looking at TTC #2 later in the year and I'd like to start temp tracking.

From what I've read, you need to take your temperature at the same time each morning after a full night's sleep. My LO is 4 months old so that's pretty much impossible atm.

Has anyone else temp tracked with middle of the night wake-ups and varied 'get up' times? Was it still accurate?

Your baby will be sleeping much better when you start ttc. I wasn’t consistent with hours and still got accurate readings but I temped vaginally rather than orally.

@emmatcc1 I wouldn’t count on that as my 12 month old wakes alllllllll night 😂

When I was ttc my second my first was between 2-3 and he still woke a couple of times a night (I’m doomed to have kids who are terrible sleepers) but I set an alarm and checked my temperature at the same time every morning and I still saw a clear rise and then fall when my period arrived! ☺️

Thanks! While I'd love that to be the case @emmatcc1, I'm not going to get my hopes up 😂

That's really helpful @L00k4m3x, my periods haven't returned yet so I think we're still a way off but I like to plan ahead 🙈

I have the latest apple watch and use it with natural cycles so it takes my temp at 6am every morning and I don't have to tell it. I do spot patterns but it's a bit all over the place as I have a 13 month old and sometimes she will be up earlier or later
