Fertility therapy?

Hello

Long story short - trying since March 2022, 3 CPs, on my third medicated cycle.

My anxiety around ovulation time is through the ROOF. It is effecting me, my marriage and my sex life, to the point where I question whether this is even worth it.

Has anyone had fertility therapy to help them cope? If not, what do you find helps you cope?

Thanks.

It's going to be highly dependent on what, if anything, is driving the fertility issues.

I'd recommend you and your partner getting a fertility assessment. Ideally in a private clinic if you can afford it.

Results should provide an indication of whether there's anything to worry about.

I've had my tests and that's why I'm on medicated cycles. He's waiting for the results of his sperm test. I was meaning more emotional help for the stress of infertility etc.

I had therapy following a miscarriage, it really helped. It wasn’t a fertility specific therapist but it was a speciality area for her. It helped me to really remember there’s so little you can control, and therefore let go of a lot of the stress.

I had counselling as part of my last (successful) IVF cycle. What a difference it made to my well-being. I didn’t think I’d realised how much I’d built up in stress until I was talking to someone who wasn’t emotionally invested in the outcome but just there to listen and offer coping tools. Just being able to let it all out made a huge impact.
