Positive OPKs CD24 - late ovulation?

Hi all,

Please help, I purchased easy at home ovulation tests this month and they only arrived CD18, I was going to start testing next month but curiosity got the better of me and I started testing. My cycles are very consistently 30 days long.

on CD 24/25 I got strong positives (see attached), which coincides with 3 days of cramps (started CD23) does this mean i ovulate exceedingly late in my cycle?

any help appreciate as it’s my first month using them and appreciated I started late in the cycle which isn’t ideal!

Yep- this is definitely a peak!

Have you noticed ewcm also? It might be a good idea to track your bbt to verify when you ovulate, if you have a short luteal phase I guess it's better to know now. Fingers crossed it's just a random cycle

Thank you looks like we’ve been DtD too early this month, hubby is away now so I guess that rules this month out!

@Teela86 a bit of EWCM a couple of days ago but not a lot really. I don’t think I can BBT accurately as I don’t get consistently get a 3 hour sleep block?! (very broken due to sleepless toddler !)

That's definitely your peak!
I've heard other women say on here that if your body tries to ovulate and fails earlier in your cycle, it could try again later on. You'll have to research to see if that's scientifically correct but that could be why you ovulated so late.

Have you just started tracking? Do you know if this is normal? Be interesting to track next month and see when it happens.

@Daisyrobin123 thanks Daisy. The thing I’m most confused by is all three tests (two yesterday and one this morning) to the naked eye look exactly the same in terms of darkness, the variation seen in the app giving the different numbers is I’m certain just due to lighting… do I just keep testing until the test line eventually gets lighter and then my peak is at the last test prior?!

yea sadly my first month actually tracking so I have no previous months to reference back to to try and work out what is going on!!

If you use the Premom app you can scan your ovulation tests in and it determines the peak for you!
