IVF/IUI mums - what worked for you?

I’m trying for my second baby - in theory, everything looks great - in practice it’s been one failure after another.

With my daughter (natural FET) I was in almost obnoxiously good shape ( 60 miles hiking most weekend, aerial hope/dance at professional level, and three hours a week at the gym- ate really well, etc etc) and now - with a little one i am … very much not at that level. She’s very much my child so I’m always up and moving but certainly not anything like I used to be. Independent mum so I can’t just go to the gym without finding childcare - and I’m constantly saving towards the next round of treatment so that’s out of the question.

I’d love to feel like there is something I can be doing to improve my fertility that fits around having a little one. I don’t want to be going down the ‘woo’ route but I feel like even if it’s a small change , I’d feel so much better than just throwing my hands up to fate and cursing my useless baby-makin’ bits!

Acupuncture might be too woo for you - and it is expensive but there are studies that suggest that it can have a real impact.

Or maybe just a high iron, anti-oxidant smoothie in the morning if you want to do something small that will make you feel in better shape.

I do get a session through my work health insurance so I might give it a bash :)

love a smoothie - do you have a fav recipe?

thank you :)

For fitness I've started doing classes over zoom (in my case Pilates), there are also some classes near me (in village halls rather than gyms) that allow you to bring your children.

I definitely need to figure out how to get motivated to exercise in the evenings! Sadly no exercise classes that allow children near me .

Tried everything. Medications , supplements, holistic treatments.
In the end up it was ivf that resulted in our pregnancy

@MoonIightDreamer I’m an independent mum by choice so it’s going to be iUi or ivf regardless - but it’s obviously an expensive route to go down so I’m just hoping I can do something to improve my odds with either after so many failed rounds.

I used to have green smoothies with kale and matcha powder. Not to everyone's taste but with something sweet like kiwi or pineapple it works.
