Ovulation help please! Desperate :(

Hi everyone,

So I have been using ovulation tests and got my peak late yesterday afternoon. I was not able to DTD last night (awful timing) so I’m now freaking out that I’ve missed my chances and wasted a month :(

I took another test this morning and it is still almost positive. Does that mean I haven’t yet ovulated? Am I still in with a chance if I DTD tonight?

Last time I got pregnant was only DTD the day after my peak ovulation test so I'd say you might as well still give it a go, better than no chance at all!

Ovulation normally happens 24-48 hours after your peak test :) so you still have time! Then the egg is also around up to 24 hours after it's been released

@moosey89 thank you for your reply! Was it similar circumstances i.e. peak some time in the afternoon and then DTD the following evening?

You’re definitely right that it’s better to be in with a chance than not at all! Just don’t want to stress myself out like usual during the TWW if I know that my chances are incredibly slim 😣

@TTC1992 it was peak at lunchtime then dtd the following evening 😊 I'd say DTD anyway then just try to put it to the back of your mind (easier said than done!).

@BeautyAndTheBump1 thank you for replying! I had read somewhere that ovulation can happen as soon as 8-12 hours after peak which is the thing that’s really getting me down. Is it much more likely that it’s 24-48 hours (I hope so! 😊)?

Thank you @moosey89 ! That gives me hope. Did not think I would get this stressed out by it all! But stressing certainly won’t help, so DTD tonight and hoping for the best it is 😊
