Hi all!

New to this platform, so trying to work all of this out, but this space has always been so helpful in the past so sorry for the long post!

Me and my partner have just recently started TTC for our first baby, we tried last month but he was away for work the week leading up to ovulation (typical) this month we really have a shot! I am temping and using clear blue ovulation sticks too!! My cycles are very regular, periods are always on time, however ovulation day seems to vary between day 14 and 17! Today is CD 14.

We have a very active sex life anyway, have DTD on CD 11,12 and 13 so far, and most probably will tonight, do we stand a good chance of conceiving? He is then working away from tomorrow so holding hope this will be enough leading up to ovulation! Had my first smiley face on the ovulation test this morning!

Any advice or knowledge would be amazing! X

Yes you've got a great chance of conceiving but can take up to a year in healthy couples so don't worry if it doesn't happen straight away. You'd be better off posting on the conception thread instead of family planning OP.

You've posted in the "contraception" topic, which might be why you've not had many responses.

You might like to report your post to MNHQ and ask them to move it to "conception"

This seems to have arrived in the right topic now!

Welcome!

Yes, I think there's a good chance you'll conceive.

I think the key thing in the first months of abandoning contraception is just to have plenty of sex, especially mid cycle and have fun. Many couples will conceive within the first three months of doing that.

(As you might be able to tell, I wouldn't bother with predictor sticks in the first 3-6 months!)
