Hey everyone, just looking to get an opinion 🙂
Not sure when period would be due - irregular periods
DTD 24th & 25th. Feeling some symptoms that aren't usual for my period, only really experienced them early on with DS

I know it's really early to be testing but have an overwhelming feeling/number of symptoms 😅

If they are there, they're vvvvvf. If they're not, I've got a wicked imagination 🙃

I've taken a few tests & inverted them. The ones from yesterday morning are even fainter (pretty much nonexistent!) so today does seem a little darker (but that's probably me just trying to convince myself). Will definitely retest in a few days, thank you for your reply! 😊

Looks very negative I'm afraid.

But assuming you ovulated on 25, then you're testing almost a week too early. Worth using OPKs if you aren't already.

I don’t see anything I’m sorry 😩 I have been where you are and I’ve inverted pictures! Have been pregnant 3 times and ttc overall 2.5+ years for all 3 babies (currently pregnant with #3) but when I was pregnant, even with a faint line it was obvious without inverting the image! Best of luck ✨❤️

Thanks for the replies.

Could I just ask another question?
I had a little bit of a show of a period 16th-17th November then nothing really until 24th which was then more like an actual period, but I've had absolutely nothing since.

When I was pregnant with DS, I felt a lot of the same things as I feel now - super tired, nausea (which has gotten significantly worse during late evening/night time), strong craving for the same thing from very early (before BFP) pregnancy with him, really sore/sensitive boobs, a very strong aversion to mint sauce (was my biggest tell tale last time!) 😅 The only new thing is light cramping on the left.

Usually my period symptoms would be more intense cramping all along the bottom of my stomach and mood swings, that's it.

Of course I'm aware a lot of PMS/pregnancy symptoms are similar, but it's just completely throwing me off that the month I've been having unprotected sex is the same month I've had absolutely nothing in the way of a period, and all these extra symptoms.

Is there any reason why this could be?

Thank you x

Because you are TTC you are consciously observing any sensations that may support the notion you are experiencing early pregnancy.

Most people wouldn't typically blink at the the symptoms they often post on here. But when TTC even a vivid dream may be a sign (yes, this was in a symptom spotting thread not too long ago).

2BabyOrNot2Baby · 02/01/2024 17:37

Not necessarily trying to conceive but also not trying to prevent. We were planning on it being more of a 'it will happen when it happens' kinda thing as we got so worked up over it first time round.
But some of these things I was experiencing before I even thought there was a possibility of being pregnant and only realised just how sensitive my boobs were due accidentally being hit in one 🙃

The food aversion one I didn't even think about as a symptom, it was someone else who pointed it out to me

Sorry I am aware if looks like I'm being a bit argumentative - that's not my intention

I get that it seems very confusing for you but if you’re having major and proper symptoms of a pregnancy then I’m sure it would be showing on a test by now? Especially if your last period began Nov 24th! Maybe if you keep experiencing negative tests but are adamant something is going on and have skipped a period then I’d go to the doctors and request a blood draw and hopefully that’ll clear some things up for you! Best of luck 😊

2BabyOrNot2Baby · 02/01/2024 18:17

@L00k4m3x thank you
We didn't really do anything November, December 10th was the first time since October but obviously that never resulted in a pregnancy.
Feel free to not answer, but how were your periods after babies? Mine were relatively normal for a good few months after DS but are completely unpredictable now. The only time I've gone a whole month without anything though was when I went back on the pill but no longer on that. The only way I know it's on its way is really through my moods and maybe cramping.

Sorry for all the questions, I've just not really got anyone irl to talk to about any of this, we're trying to keep it completely private until we get somewhere

At the risk of being offensive, I don't get the impression you're trying to avoid pregnancy. If anything, it seems like you're trying to make the argument that you are pregnant when HCG tests indicate otherwise.

The symptoms you are experiencing (including sensitive boobs) can be attributed to elevated levels of progesterone which peaks and falls right before your period starts, or continues to rise if you're pregnant.

It's fine if you desire to be pregnant, but nothing you said indicates active prevention.

2BabyOrNot2Baby · 02/01/2024 21:20

I'm not actively trying to prevent? We're just not 'being careful' anymore.

@Outliers @2BabyOrNot2Baby didn't say they're actively trying to prevent pregnancy. They clearly would be happy to be pregnant, but aren't tracking/ planning when to have sex etc. you're most likely very correct in your observation around hormones/ progesterone effect pre period etc, but your response reads very bluntly.
@2BabyOrNot2Baby - unfortunately if you have to invert to see something I'm a believer it's not a positive, but they're always easier to see in person! If your symptoms were pregnancy related it's very likely you'd have a stronger looking positive but that certainly doesn't mean you won't get one over the coming days. Good luck

My mistake, I misread your post, my sincere apologies.
