Fertile Window Vs Ovulation Day

Wondering if anyone can answer my question.

Should I be DTD in the days leading up to my fertile window? Or just the days I am in my fertile window leading to OV day?

If sperm survives 5 days, and I have sex 3 days before my fertile window, but 7 days before ovulation day for example, could I still get pregnant? Hope that makes sense!

@GoldenArrow you would not get pregnant by having sex 7 days before ovulation. There are statements online to say the sperm can live up to 5 days but 24hours is a lot more realistic. If you look up the “sperm meets egg plan” on Google it should help.

One day before is probably the key time to aim for, but O day itself and O-2 and O-3 are also in with a shout...

@curliegirlie well in preparation for my negative this month we've done O-2, O and possibly O+1 😂 then I'll tell myself I'm throwing the towel in and book a fancy holiday because I'm so over this 🙈

Hello @ExMrsGrealish 👋😁. All purely theoretical of course given I'm 22 cycles down, despite hitting at least one or two of those days most cycles 🤪. This cycle we've managed O+1, O, O-1 and O+3. This is meant to be my final cycle. Let's see if I keep to that following the inevitable negative. 5dpo today, so testing next Friday....
