Please help! Pregnancy test going backwards

Hi my husband and I have been TTC baby no 1 for 2 years. I tested Dec 23rd which was day of or day after missed period and got a strong positive. I took 4 more tests 23rd, 24th and 25th and all were strong positives including a clear blue digital one which read 2-3 weeks pregnant (meaning 4-5) which fits with my dates.

Today at what should be 5 weeks exactly I had a fainter blue line while using first morning urine still and the Digital test is reading 1-2 weeks pregnant.

Im and terrified it’s a chemical pregnancy, can’t get into docs until 16th Jan. Has anyone had any experience of this and it NOT been a chemical pregnancy? Only other thing I can think of is I’ve been making an effort to drink more and avoid caffeine so could be more hydrated even though it’s first urine? Any advice is greatly appreciated thanks.

I'm sorry but ring the doctors back and demand a t,c with a GPS I work in a gp surgery and u atheist deserve a phone call where they can advise and refer u to the early pregnant unit ..

I would ring the early pregnancy unit and see if they could do a blood test? Then a repeat to see if your levels are rising.

Its not sounding positive unfortunately

sounds likely a chemical, the GP or EPU can’t do anything and don’t think they scan this early.

To be honest it's really hard to know.
I've had tests getting lighter and it was a chemical
This time same thing . I was convinced right away another chemical. I've even been so paranoid that I've already had 2 scans I'm 11 weeks . Last scan was at 10 weeks and baby was fine.
I was told to stop testing.
All you can do is wait I'm afraid and have a blood test to see if your hcg is doubling.

Thank you for all of your replies - it was a chemical pregnancy I started bleeding today and test is now negative.

I'm so sorry, that's so tough, but glad your test has gone negative already. With mine last year it took 3 weeks after an early bleed (2 weeks after bloods which put my hcg as 27). Take care xxxx
