Late Period... Covid?

Long story short, I've been TTC #2 for nearly 8 years. (Got pg with DS without trying, had a really difficult labour and delivery and was left with a blocked tube after an emcs)

Been told it's not impossible to conceive naturally but will be very hard. But I've never given up hope despite a long 8 years of trying.

My periods are textbook 28 days but I'm now 3 days late. This is unheard of for me! BUT I also have Covid at the moment. I'm too scared to buy a POAS so I was planning on just waiting it out a few more days until
I'm really late, but I've been googling and apparently it's common to be late or even miss a period with covid. So now I've lost all hope again.

Does anybody have any advice re late/missed periods and Covid?

I didn’t know that but I did know it can happen if you don’t/ hardly eat for a few days

Well I've definitely been eating a lot so can't be that Grin
I only googled it because I remember hearing that the Covid vaccine can temporarily change your periods but apparently the virus can also do so.
I'm trying to be rational and tell myself it must be Covid related because I'm too scared to get my hopes up

Covid messed with my cycle both times I had it, for a couple of months after as well!

BUT

You should still probably do a test in a couple of days if your period hasn't come.

I got pregnant this cycle while I was sick with covid after 17 cycles of trying. Don’t know if it’s a coincidence or related.

I had covid in October and my next period after was 7 days la5,previously 21-22 days regular

Thank you! I don't want to believe that I could be pregnant as it's been so long of trying and I don't want to get my hopes up, especially as Covid is known to mess with cycles. I think I'll hold out until tomorrow then POAS

Covid and even the Covid vaccines have been known to cause cycle irregularities.

Same here I completely missed a period and took about 4 months to regulate again
