Trying to conceive at 44.. trying pre seed and ferti lily cup

Hi, just looking for some success stories. I have one child and hoping for another with new partner. We’ve been trying for about a year with no luck. He’s had two seman analysis and they’ve both come back low. We’re currently using pre seed and the ferti lily cup this cycle and hoping for the best. Has anyone had any luck in similar circumstances?

What’s a ferti lily cup ? We are same position, failed ivf, lots of surgeries and forced menopause for my adeno. Now doing medicated IUI rounds .

Hi, we’ve been trying for about a year now and I’ve had blood work done at my gp (nhs) and they’ve come back ok. I’m looking into getting an AMH test done privately.
Hoping this road won’t be too much longer.
Have you had any tests done yet?

He’s taking wellman conception tablets that has coq-10 and I’m taking pregnacare conception which also has coq-10 but not sure if we should be taking an additional dose of it.

Ferti lily cup is similar to the moon cups but this one is designed to help push the seman up towards the cervix after dtd. We’ve only used it once so far for this cycle.
If you don’t mind me asking, did you get any help from the nhs?

Odds of conception are low (less than 5%) before you account for miscarriages and abnormalities. You only get 12 tries a year = 5% =0.6. To get to 1 would would require 20 cycles.

The challenge is at 44, you don't have many cycles left to try due to rapid decline in egg quality.

I'm sure you know all this already, and I'm not saying it's impossible, but prudent to manage expectations. If it doesn't happen, what other avenues are you and your partner willing to consider?

Hi, was honestly starting to lose hope as we started trying in November 2022 and I didn’t have any hint of a pregnancy until December 2023. In may 2023 I started being healthier, lost a stone, cut out Pepsi max. I started taking omega and co-q10. I started jogging three times a week. I got my partner to cut down on coffee. I still didnt get pregnant. Literally first month of using this lube I conceived. I think this stuff is miraculous. @Olibob Amazing thank you so much for sharing and huge congratulations! I was thinking this morning that maybe I should cut out coke zero but eeek the addiction lol. I am pretty fit and healthy but maybe veer towards making bad food choices when I am emotional and tired. Otherwise I gym 5 days a week and I drink about 2L of water a day.
