So this is a little long but basically me and my wife did at home insemination with our doner fresh on the 28th and 29th November, according to flow I ovulate on the 30 but my other app said 28th so we did it twice to be sure. 4 days after conception I had backache head aches and lower abdomen pain which went on for about a week and half I then had 3 really vivid dreams which never happens as I don't dream. My 🍒 have been so sore and my montgomery glands have been up this whole entire time with prominent veins, this is out of the ordinary for me as usually when I'm due my af and has been the same everytime I get cramping in my abdomen and down my thighs the day before and 1st day Ithe day I was due my af I did a test bfn :( so I did another the next day I'm now 6 days late still no show of af but texted today and whay I can see well I hope is an extremely faint line which I haven't had at all, has anybody else tested later and got a bfp we really can see it but now worried our minds are playing tricks as we want it so much please help me ladies and share stories of anyone who has tested and got a bfp days after the af I just find it weird the one time we ttc I have missed my period as I have never missed one befote and I have got aymtoms and never had any of this with my af

I’m sorry, both of mine were strong positives before my period was due. I don’t see a positive test in your photos. I think this month is a miss unfortunately.

It can be really stressful trying to conceive, but remember even in ideal circumstances it can take months. Being really alert to symptoms isn’t healthy psychologically - I wonder if the stress is the reason for your delayed period?

And maybe do some reading about what to expect - for most people there are no pregnancy signs before a missed period. The embryo doesn’t implant for a week or more after conception and your body has no idea it’s there, so it’s impossible for you to have any signs at all at that stage.

Best of luck for your next try

I don't see a positive test there OP. Home donor insemination has a pretty low hit rate- if you were a straight couple you wouldn't expect very strongly to be pregnant after havimg sex twice in one month. It's normal to take several goes, try not to ride the rollercoaster emotions too much, take a deep breath and decide what you want to do next month

This is the thing I don't have any stress which is why it's so weird I haven't come on I never not come on and I have the same stresses of just looking after a 2 year old so it's well out the normal for me to miss a period and then I don't know when I can start trying again as I haven't had a period xx

you'll need to wait for a bleed. I guess if none comes then you should do a repeat test in a week

Jeragade123 · 20/12/2023 00:35

Maybe just a late period, at 6 days late mine was a very strong line on the test. Wish you luck x

Sorry, there's nothing there.
Try tracking ovulation via BBT, ovulation tests, even an ovulation microscope. Apps aren’t accurate, in fact you often need to override settings to fit your actual cycle.
It's not particularly worth doing the insemination before. Do it on the day of confirmed ovulation (you can confirm it several ways) and again the next day. That way you'll have the best chance.
As you're doing it now, you're not actually sure of ovulation and you're relying on the egg possibly being there and sperm hanging around for days. It just doesn't work like that.

hoobanoobie · 20/12/2023 01:18

It's not "conception" if you didn't conceive. And 4 days after doing the insemination would not produce such symptoms. Please read up on what you're trying to do, otherwise you set yourselves up to be disappointed and symptom guessing without being able to rationalise the process from actual ovulation, real conception, to onset of symptoms and when to actually test. Each stage has a knock on effect.
I’m not being harsh, I've been there, done that. It's not an easy feat to accomplish.

Sounds like a late period. It happens
