There seems to be shadows on all of these tests, does anyone else find this?? They're a nightmare. Not the worst ones out there, but they do make you squint!!

Are there any cheapie tests which have zero indent lines?

Is this your first batch?

I always used these when ttc and never had any issues x

J3llycat · 19/12/2023 16:56

@Mrsttcno1 hiya, yep first batch! Although I seem to find lines on everything so it might be a me problem 😂 I'm 12dpo so think it would be much more than a shadow by now anyway, just curious if there are any strips that don't have indents! X

maybe it is just a faulty batch then? As I say I used them for months until I fell pregnant in July and never once had any ident or anything, the first line I had was my current pregnancy! X

J3llycat · 19/12/2023 17:03

@Mrsttcno1 that's fair enough thank you! I'll probably keep on with these ones anyway as so many swear by them. X

Have attached my shadow from this afternoon, taken after the 10 minutes anyway so definitely an indent!

What shadow are you looking at? Do you mean this one just after where it says “max”? X

@Mrsttcno1 haha not that one! I can see an extremely fl on the test area, so think that confirms its a me problem 😂x

I found them really good to be fair.
Stark white when I wasn't pregnant and I then got a very faint shadow at 9dpo and a faint pink line at 10dpo. I took a frer 10dpo which was a nice, pink line.

I can't see anything in your photo OP, but faint lines can be really hard to see in photos. Fingers crossed!

Mrsttcno1 · 19/12/2023 17:23

Ahh! I can’t see anything at all in that photo but maybe in person it is more clear x

J3llycat · 19/12/2023 17:26

@Alloveragain3 @Mrsttcno1 thank you both!! I'll keep at these and wait for the pink line - one day 😁

@J3llycat there's definitely something wrong with these easy@home tests...this is mine from last Friday. AF arrived Monday (4 days early, much to my disgust 😂)

@Impatient1987 yep that's what all mine look like, at least it's a reference point 😂

I think if you have a shadow then AF arrives it might have been a chemical pregnancy? @Impatient1987 yours looks like a vvvf line to me, which indicates a chemical preg if you had AF after? I was reading that “indent” lines are basically a myth. If it was within the time frame and there is a line, it’s because there was HCG in the sample.

Confusedddddddd · 21/12/2023 23:43

@snowitall even if it's after the timeframe apparently. Those tests are very sensitive so if you have the slightest trace of hcg from failed implantation for example you'll get a line.

J3llycat · 22/12/2023 07:21

@Confusedddddddd @snowitall I think that's only if there's a tinge of colouration isn't it so that there's been a reaction with the dye? The shadows I've had with easy@home are more like the urine has dried on the line but no pink colour that i can see, i had a cp a few months back and had tonnes of symptoms with light colour on the tests, although I used different brands so maybe different for easy@home? X

snowitall · 23/12/2023 11:32

@J3llycat its so hard to tell if it’s “colour” or not if it’s super light though isn’t it. All I know is that I never had the whisper of a shadow on any easy@home tests for about 6 months, and then this month with the positive that’s got stronger, it started off with an absolute squinter shadow with no discernible colour! But that’s all from the same pack so I guess possible that you’ve got a bad batch? But at the same time good to know if you’re having CPs rather than assuming an issue with the tests, as then you have better information about your body. Maybe buy a different pack of easy@home to rule out a bad batch.

snowitall · 23/12/2023 11:35

This was my first test this cycle. Doesn’t really look like it has colour but did turn into something over the next week.
