Period or implantation

Hi, I've never written a thread before so here goes.
My partner and I have been trying to conceive for a while now.
I started my period last week, I was 4 days late and It only lasted 2 days, but was bright red. After it stopped I had very light, pink spotting for 2 days but only when I wiped.
I know everyone is different, just seeking some advice please

I have periods like this and it is frustrating when it happens while ttc as it gives you hope. Also people experience this with early pregnancy, I had bright red blood with my first pregnancy, just not as much as a period. So if things seemed different and you’ve been ttc best to take a pregnancy test to be sure, it could be period or implantation. No way of knowing for sure until you test.

If you have a negative pregnancy test, then it certainly was a period
