Spotting and no ovulation?

I was due to ovulate yesterday (cycle day 16, lmp lasted 5 days and was light) but my ovulation tests have been very clearly negative and I started testing several days in advance, there’s been no changes. I usually run like clockwork and even feel which side I ovulate from because I get mild stabbing pains when it happens, which hasn’t happened this month. I had about 5 days of ewcm that was pink or slightly blood streaked until today, and yesterday and today I’ve had menstrual-like cramps. I have a known cervical ectropion so a bit of spotting isn’t uncommon but this has been different to usual. My cervix is also very high and tightly closed which does not suggest ovulation is imminent. I’ve been ill this week with a vomiting bug and a cold so that’s maybe thrown things off, but should I take a pregnancy test too just to be sure? I’m not actively TTC (I will be in the next couple of years, but I have a copper IUD at the moment) although 15 months ago I had a faint positive hpt and an extremely heavy painful bleed like an early miscarriage, so I am wary that it’s not impossible with any contraception. Has anyone had similar or any ideas? Should I test or wait and see what happens?

From my experience with copper IUD, you can experience very heavy periods and irregular spotting. Still best form of contraception imo.

Your being ill could also create irregularities. Though I wouldn't stress in tracking ovulation if you're not planning to TTC for a couple years?
