Confused!

Hi all!

Not actively trying for a baby, already have two beautiful girls aged 4 and almost 3, however, we aren't saying no to a third!

I am due my period today, and I have been spotting for the last 7 days on and off which is really unusual for me! I think I ovulated around the 22nd of this month, and I have been spotting again today but usually when my period starts it's just full on and not all this spotting malarkey.

I did a cheap test today which was negative but I did do it this evening with extremely diluted pee! (Sorry tmi but it is what it is haha)

Anybody ever experienced spotting a week prior to a period?

I'm going to test in the morning with FMU but I'm really confused! We did also DTD a few times over my fertile days.

Tests are usually quite accurate from the point your period is due

@Outliers yeah they are, but I've also not been completely TTC so I'm not 100% sure when I ovulated. My periods vary from 28 days to 35 so it's always a guessing game!

It's more the spotting for 7 days before my period I'm confused about. I have spotted everyday until today when my flo app says my period is due. Never experienced it before!

At same point I had spotting on/off and then my periods came late. This happened for few months and then my periods returned back to normal.

From my experience- spotting over days precedes a late period. Coupled with testing negative I would assume that's the case.

Of course everyone is different - but as you say you aren't TTC so quite likely AF will show up eventually.
