I have a 10 year old and have had 4 miscarriages after that. With 2 i have seen the heartbeat then miscarried.
I have recently found out im pregnant going from my last period im 8 weeks pregnant. From
conception 7 weeks ( my partner works away so there is only 1 possible date).
I went for a scan today and they said it was hard to measure but they think im about 5 weeks( thats 14 days out) . A heartbeat was seen and it looked strong she said but didn't say how many BPM. Im taking progesterone and aspirin as advised by prof quenby. Im so anxious history is repeating itself. Does anyone have any similar stories good or bad?
thanks

I have been in a similar situation as you. I'm sorry your losses ♥️

I found checking this every day during the early weeks really reassuring. Making sure I was taking each day at a time.

Just to add - after 3 losses eventually we had DS. The first couple months I couldn't enjoy the pregnancy because of my nerves. Everything turned out okay, and I hope you have the same result.

It's easy to worry about it constantly, but worrying about it will never change the end result. X

@Helpamumout1 hey, sperm can live for up to five days, and a lot of people have about a two week difference between start of last period and actual conception date so it could be you conceived slightly later than you think. I'm also sure a heartbeat forms at 6 weeks so it's likely your dates are fine - their measurement difference is down to mere millimetres at this point ❤️ best of luck x

I was told in my last pregnancy (in a private scan) that according to my dates I should have been a certain amount of time along, and that they couldn't see my pregnancy being that far, they pretty much prepared me for the pregnancy to not be progressing and told me to contact the early pregnancy unit.
I left and cried. I'd been struggling with infertility for 12 years and I was so so happy to finally be pregnant.

Anyway, the pregnancy went fine, my son was IUGR which I don't know if there might be a link between that and his small growth in later pregnancy.

But I want to tell you, he's now 19 months old, ruling the world...quite literally. He is up, still refusing to sleep.. everything is just too exciting.
