TW .. Miscarriage referal

Hi wondering if someone can help. I've been refered to the nhs RMC and they have told me that my bloods and scan are all fine and prescribed asprin and progesterone on a positive test.

So now I've been refered to fertility on nhs however I was wondering if it was possible to be reffered to Tommys miscarriage clinic along side being refered to fertility clinic. Does anyone know if it's possible? I really want to have an appointment with professor quenby however I live in London, will she except patients outside of Coventry? Please let me know if anyone has been in a similar situation thank you!!

Hi,

Yep you can be referred to professor Quenby from anywhere in the UK. Your GP just needs to do it through the online system. They'll only accept you after 3 consecutive miscarriages though.

So sorry you are going through this, she is great though and I'm now 23 weeks pregnant after her plan following three miscarriages.

The problem is can a Gp still refer me to her if she has referred me to fertility clinic? Not sure if I can have both🥲

It depends, why are you being referred to the fertility clinic? Had it taken you a long to get pregnant but you've also had 3 recurrent miscarriages?

Yes it has over 2 years and 3 miscarriages

It's tricky, I'm not sure if you can be referred to two services. You could try ring professor Quenbys sectary and ask her?

I've been referred to both the miscarriage and fertility clinics where I live in Surrey as I've got both issues too, so it's definitely possible here. Doesn't mean that other NHS trusts work like that unfortunately, but you never know!

Hi, can I ask how long you had to wait to be seen by Prof Quenby? Currently being referred and wondering how long we'll be waiting. Thank you 🙏🏼🙏🏼

@Elses I waited about 10 weeks from referral to appointment. Got some blood request after about 6 weeks to have done at my GP so she had the results for the appointment. Hope you get seen soon 🙏
