Name changed as you guys are the first to know!

Following a second trimester loss in Aug 22, another second trimester loss in June 23 and lots of TTC and confused emotions, BFP number 4 is here.

I tested 2 days days before AF, due yesterday, and got a BFN, ovulated on 16th. DTD on 15th and 16th.

I am happy and petrified and wondering when to tell hubby, who stuffers PTSD from the loss of the last two.

Congratulations OP! Wonderful news!
I am not surprised you have anxiety. It’s easy to say to just try and enjoy it and take each day as you go, but I realise the reality is much more difficult. But this is a wonderful, positive step! Congratulations x

Congratulations @Isthisrealomgwow! Wishing you all the best for a healthy, happy pregnancy x

Congratulations!
Do you think it would be better to wait until 12 weeks before telling your husband? I know that's a long time but maybe best all round if he will be all over the place with emotions?

Isthisrealomgwow · 01/12/2023 12:27

@Hungrycaterpillarsmummy I was thinking this. But our first loss was 14 weeks, due to genetic issues.
The second loss was 18 weeks, following healthy scan and clear NIPT. Genetic testing suggested no genetic issues.
He's gonna know something cos he says I smell different when pregnant. Haha

Tbh then i'd just not tell him unless he asks!
Once you get to 29 weeks I'd tell him

@Hungrycaterpillarsmummy he might suspect something by then!! First, and only survived child, was over 9lb!!

Congratulations! How is your pregnancy going? I have also found out I am pregnant following two late losses, 16 and 20 weeks, and unfortunately they are unexplained. Are you on any additional medication for the pregnancy?

Isthisrealomgwow · 21/02/2024 00:51

Hi @ButterflyRainbow4
Currently 16 weeks, got a consultant scan this week. Then the 20 week scan. I've had additional scan prior to 12 weeks too.
I was on progesterone pessary twice a day, but stopped now as 16 weeks.
I'm taking higher dose of folic acid, due to being overweight.
Also vit d and 150mg asprin.
Hoping the scan is OK, last baby had passed 10 days or more before the scan, no symptoms of MC, breasts and bump getting bigger. So, I'm extremely anxious.
How far are you? Have you had any early scans?

@Isthisrealomgwow I hope your scan goes well, I really do know the feeling.
I’m just about 5 weeks so very early. I’m under recurrent miscarriage clinic and will be having bi weekly scans starting from 6 weeks, on progesterone twice a day and aspirin plus lots of vitamins.
I wish you the best for your pregnancy and hope you get your rainbow baby x
