Hi all,
Sorry in advance for the long post.
I am not actively ttc but partner and I have both agreed that it wouldnt be an issue if I was to become pregnant. I have been under a lot of stress at work recently and have missed quite a few of my birth control pills-9 in total from my last withdrawal bleed which started on the 30th of October and lasted 5 days.
AF arrived a week early on the 22nd November which I'm guessing is just from not taking the pill consistently enough but it was not like a normal AF at all...very heavy flow with blood clots (not normal for me) and intense cramps for about 36 hours and then barely anything apart from pink spotting yesterday and today.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? Is this normal after missing pills?

Might be some implantation bleeding. i'd take a test in the next few days. or it could just be your hormones being weird from the missed pills

Almost certainly not implantation bleeding.

Sounds like a heavy period, and as your busy adjusts to not being on pill you'll discover a new normal for your cycles.

Thank you for your reply @Outliers I agree that it's highly unlikely to be implantation bleeding. However I have read a lot of threads on here in search for answers and am getting contradictory information, some say they experienced a normal bleed and mistook it for their period only to find out later that they were indeed pregnant, others say they had little to no implantation bleeding. It just depends on the person I guess

There are exceptions to be found everywhere, and tbh reading through forums, if anything, has made me aware that many aren't familiar with how their cycle works. Spotting and bleeds often get confused.

Heavy bleed is not typical of implantation, that much I'm certain, but I would very much welcome being wrong if it means you get a BFP. Best of luck

When I came of the pill my withdrawal bleed was extremely heavy with big clots for 2 days & then nothing. Remember this is just a withdrawal bleed, not a period shedding your built up uterus lining
