Clearblue Ovulation Kit - Circle straight to solid smiley

I’ve been buying these Clearblue Ovulation Kits for over ten years (I’m convinced I singlehandly have kept Clearblue in business with them) but I’ve never had this… I normally ovulation CD18-20. Three months back I had Methotrexate for a pregnancy of unknown location. This is the first month we can TTC so first month I’ve used a kit. Tester is brand new, first tested CD14 ⭕️ CD15 ⭕️ and then suddenly solid smiley CD16 which is the earliest I think it’s ever been but also I ALWAYS have at least four days flashing smiley before.

Has this happened to anyone before? I don’t know whether to trust it because of the way the end of the stick looks with no defined lines although I definitely only carefully dipped the tip in or get another kit (and end up with tons of sticks?!)

I would have sex still anyway just in case but keep testing. I've seen plenty go straight to solid smiley and being accurate x

Do you have any cheap strip tests that you can back it up with? Do you BBT?

@MrsAlexander i would defo recommend BBT. I was a bit daunted by it tbh but I just have a basil thermometer on my bedside table & stick it in my mouth as soon as I open my eyes. Temp shoots up & stays up the day after ovulation so it really helps to see it clearly. Will attach my chart for this month for you to see x

Ahhh thanks @4LeafCloverBaby - I think I was a little frightened of getting it wrong and misreading the results but it sounds straight forward x

I'm the opposite. Had 4 days of O then 9 days of flashing smileys face. Its driving me mad.

I'm on CD 20. I came off desogestrel 19 days ago to try for baby number 2. I've not had any bleeding yet. My son was born 6 years ago & I conceived him three months after coming off the pill. I guess I'm just wanting to know that I'm still ovulating.
