We’ve been trying for no.2 for 6 months so a evap now seems a bit cruel. I’m 13dpo today and got a good positive at 10dpo with DD, so it is probably an evap isn’t it? It’s dry in the pic but the line came up within 6mins or so. Previous one I did and then noticed the same but way after it had dried.

I’ve been using these forever and never had an evap in probably a hundred tests! This time ttc they’ve all been stark white, until now. I’m a bit hopeful but also don’t feel pregnant at all 😢

I wonder if it’s the bloody central heating doing this???

I use these tests too. I'm sorry I can't see a line there :(

Outliers · 23/11/2023 21:53

I can't see anything unfortunately. Perhaps try and test with your first urine tomorrow?

If its not a clear positive at 14DPO then I would suspect AF is on the way unfortunately. Good luck

SukiBlu · 23/11/2023 22:44

I can see something, however I keep getting v faint lines like this on my easy at home tests and yet other tests showing negative. Sorry to bear bad news.

Sprinklerainbows · 23/11/2023 22:47

Looks like the beginning of a positive to me. Mine always have started out that way and progressed nicely over the next few days until it’s a clear positive x

deliwoman1 · 24/11/2023 09:41

Thanks everyone. I’ve done two more this morning with slightly more visible lines so I’m thinking weak positive. Given my dpo I’m guessing AF will show soon. 😢

Either it’s that or elevated hcg due to being perimenopausal 😭

Looks much darker. I’d say this will be a clear positive in a few days time

justanotherlaura · 24/11/2023 13:48

I first tested on 14dpo this cycle and got a very faint line, tests remained faint for a few days and it took until 21dpo to get a nice dark line.

Hopefully yours is the same, the egg can implant from 6-12dpo so maybe it was just a later implantation than some people get

deliwoman1 · 25/11/2023 09:15

Well, that’s pretty definitive! I’ve been ill with a nasty cold so really hydrating and I think this morning was my first concentrated wee! I’m also 14dpo today, not 15. 🙄 Not convinced it’ll be a sticky one, but I’m glad I can still conceive. Quite shocked actually. Now to begin the progesterone suppositories…

Congratulations!!! I knew that would be the outcome from the first test 😍 good lucky, fingers crossed for a sticky baby

deliwoman1 · 30/11/2023 10:24

Thanks @Sprinklerainbows you were right. I’m still not optimistic but what will be will be!

If anyone else is reading this thread, the first pic above was taken at 12dpo, the second at 13dpo. The digital was taken at 14dpo.

here’s my progression so far. From top: 14dpo, 17dpo, and 19dpo (today). I’d like the line to be stronger 😞

The dye in easy@home tests have also been developing a little slower for me than I remember. It takes a minute for them to pop up, and I recall getting lines instantly with my daughter. This has of course caused more than one panic!

Perhaps you ovulated later than you think? I'd be cautiously optimistic either way

Sprinklerainbows · 30/11/2023 11:14

This was my progression with my most recent pregnancy (now a 6 month old baby in arms) starting from 14dpo! I think yours will slowly increase like this if all is well x

@Outliers no, sadly. I always get CM, then blazing LH results quickly followed by ovulation pain. At most I’m a day out if anything. Just have to keep hoping!

@Sprinklerainbows that's reassuring, thank you! X

@deliwoman1 how are you getting on? x

deliwoman1 · 08/12/2023 21:35

@Sprinklerainbows Hi, sorry I didn't see this. Thanks for checking in. Things aren't looking good, unfortunately. I had an early scan today at 6 weeks by LMP exactly, due to previous mc and ectopic. Sonographer found a gestational sac, but no yolk. She dated the pregnancy at 5 weeks and basically said it could either have failed already, or it's too early to tell. A nurse took my bloods but I was in a meeting when she called, so have to wait until Monday for the results and whether they want to either re-do bloods or rescan me.

I'm pretty certain I ovulated on day 15. This pregnancy has been slow to get going, and with such a faint test at 12 dpo and bfns before that, I suspect I implanted late, so I'm holding onto that as a partial explanation for being a week late (by LMP). Deep down though, I feel I should expect a miscarriage. I'm very sad.

For some reason my partner, who is very supportive, just doesn't feel the anxiety or horror of the wait himself at all. He can appreciate that I do, but he's all 'what will be will be', and 'we'll find out more on Monday' about it and I'm finding that hard. Sometimes I wish he DID feel exactly the same way as me so I wouldn't have to feel lonely in this.

@deliwoman1 im sorry to hear that. This happened in my first pregnancy. My son was dated 2 weeks behind where I thought I was and they told me it was most likely ectopic. I went back 2 days later and they saw the fetal pole with a heartbeat and said lots can change depending on who scans/ a day can change everything visibility wise. Keep the faith.

there is nothing more painful than the ‘wait and see’ men often just do not understand the emotions we get- we feel emotionally attached from the very moment we find out.
with my daughter I bled HEAVILY and my partner said maybe it wasn’t meant to be… well she was and she’s here. Sending so much love, keep us updated xx

deliwoman1 · 10/12/2023 17:57

Thanks @Sprinklerainbows. I really appreciate your support, and I'm so glad your pregnancy worked out well. ❤I'm trying to focus on the here and now until tomorrow, and after that we'll take each day as it comes. I just happened to have the gynae department's head of sonography do my scan, though. She was very experienced; after a lot of these scans (sadly) I could tell. It's reassuring that I had a pro, actually, because I was worried that the pregnancy might be ectopic. The sonographer ruled that out.

I do have some hope, but without sight of a yolk, I think I need to prepare for the worst. I've come up with some coping strategies because of previous losses, so I'll be implementing those if need be. I'm hoping that if the outcome is bad, I'll be able to draw a line under this before Christmas. We really need a good one this year for other reasons. That said, time is running out. 🙁

@deliwoman1 so sorry it’s been so tough for you. I have my fingered crossed for tomorrow for you!

Christmas is a good time to focus on yourself and those you love, but still hard after a difficult year 💔 let’s hope this little one was hiding and you’ll see a little baby with a beating heart

deliwoman1 · 11/12/2023 09:59

Thanks @Sprinklerainbows. HCG was 2200 on Friday which nurse said is good as it correlates with scan. I have another scan next Friday. So I guess there’s still chance of a slow grower. All I can do is hope, but I’m scared to! The waiting is hell.

OP posts:
Sprinklerainbows · 11/12/2023 10:10

@deliwoman1 that was the same as me. And then! Weirdest thing of all, we went back 2 weeks later and we were back on the dates I originally thought, and the baby measured a whole week ahead of where they originally put me. When the baby is soooo microscopic I think it’s easy for things to be inaccurate even when the most skilled drs are scanning xxx

Sprinklerainbows · 17/12/2023 18:58

@deliwoman1 howre you getting on xx

deliwoman1 · 17/12/2023 19:32

@Sprinklerainbows thanks for checking in! ❤It's not good news, sadly. On Friday the gestational sac had grown but it was still empty. I was diagnosed with an anembryonic pregnancy/blighted ovum. I've stopped my progesterone to see if I bleed. I'm being rescanned again next Friday just to be 100% sure, but if I haven't bleed I'll be going the medical management route, I think. Hard not to hold out a scrap of hope when you haven't had a bleed, but the nurse was adamant something was wrong. I'm very keen to draw a line under it and try again as soon as we can. xxx

@deliwoman1 im so sorry to hear that! I hope if it is worst case scenario, that you are able to conceive a healthy pregnancy very soon 😢 sending lots of love x
