Does hcg rise with ectopic

I'm now suspecting an ectopic. I'm wondering can hcg rise normally ? I had pain to my side of public but gp will not refer as not accompanied by other symptoms. I paid for my own blood test at 4 weeks and was in the normal range. Not that high but not below normal it was 440. Since that my clearblue digital has gone up over past 2 weeks from 2-3 3+ would it still be rising with ectopic?

I’m so sorry that you’re experiencing pain. My hcg was close to rising normally (doubling) with my ectopic but nothing was seen on the scan at 6 weeks which was the cause for concern along with pain and bleeding. Pain in pregnancy should be taken seriously - can you self-refer to an Early Pregnancy Unit?

@NigellasMicrowave thankyou for relying. My epu is not self referral.
I've got a private scan booked but not until 5th Dec. I'm just feeling stressed and frustrated not knowing what's going on. My pain was quite bad but lasted 4 days and I've had nothing now for days so gp won't refer me since I've no bleeding or anything . I have zero symtoms and to me this just seems strange

I would A&E if pain becomes extreme, especially if it radiates to the shoulder.

My pain was never extreme but my back killed and one day I got shooting pain up my back passage that lasted a couple if minutes I knew something wasn't right. I did have a bleed which made me think I miscarried to begin with then two weeks later that's when I got a positive my levels was in the 3000s but couldn't be seen so levels do rise. Shoulder tip pain is a indicator of internal bleeding so really should get checked before this symptom comes. It could be just the usual pains in early pregnancy but if u feel somthings wrong go to a&e. Sorry you are feeling this way it's the worst being in the unknown xx

Yes mine did but not by as much as they expected it was 453 then 670 then 555 then 590 ….. I had scans as well and they did see the mass on my left tube

My tests darkened really well though so I was shocked as thought my line progression had been good! I didn’t have any typical symptoms either -no spotting, no shoulder tip pain etc. I just had a weird ‘sensation’ on my left side and a feeling of pressure / pinching in tube area
