Thought we could keep in touch
how long did the others take you? Are they all the same partner?
dc1 2.5 years unexplained infertility
dc2 and 3 within 6 months but I had long cycles so probably nearer 4 cycles each (all in my 20s)
I now have a new partner and 5 months ttc (with 2 chemicals on cycle 3 and 4)
I’m late 30s now

Mrs777 - congratulations!! May I ask if you did anything different to conceive this time than previously? I had my DD at 35 after 9 months TTC. We are now trying for our second, but Im 42 now and finding it hard going. Im fit, healthy, hardly drink alcohol, dont smoke, stay hydrated, take allll the supplements and had my tubes flushed in June (part of a laparasopic surgery to remove an endometrioma from my ovary) so Im doing all the right things but I just think my age is against me massively 😟 Always up for hearing tips and tricks from those 40 and over who have conceived naturally if you have any to share! 😃
Congratulations again, you must be over the moon x

Sorry MrBigsCat - just realised I hijacked your thread! Im not ttc#4, only #2.

Mrs777 · 21/11/2023 13:54

Hi, no I didn’t do anything other than chart my ovulation with sticks and acted on those results, hopefully you conceive soon 😊

No problem everyone welcome @MrsDR !!

Aw sorry to hear that, hopefully this time 🙌🏼

MrsDR · 22/11/2023 11:26

How are you both feeling this morning?
I think AF is due for me around the same time as you @MrBigsCat - any time between Saturday and Tuesday. Feeling pretty crappy, general AF symptoms rearing their head and trying desperately not to read too much into them as I'm sure it would be too early for pregnancy symptoms anyway (I'm 7DPO)

I cant remember any early signs from being pregnant with DD (7 years ago) apart from seeing a lot of EWCM one morning when it should have all been gone. So I tested straight away and hey presto! After 9 months TTC I couldn't believe it, I still remember sitting on the edge of the bath shaking and crying in disbelief staring at the test wand!

So yeah, I reckon I'm out this month, but as they say - it's not over until AF is here!

MrBigsCat · 22/11/2023 19:29

I’m def out I’ve stared pre period spotting and cramping which is early as I’m not due till Monday so the chemical must have messed me up as I ovulated on day 10 this month (usually 14)
so hoping this af resets everything and I’ve got a good chance next month 🤞🏻

With my first I was 24 and ttc 2.5 years without a hint of a positive (but my cycles were short so it ended up being about 30 cycles )
so you can imagine my disbelief when I got that positive! I can’t wait for that feeling again when it’s a definite I wish you could bottle that feeling!!
