Anyone TTC Dec 2023

Just looking for some company with ladies planning TTC 2023. There's already a thread for Jan 2024 but would be nice to keep company for Dec :)
Initially planned to start TTC 2024 Jan but it's feels time is going too slow and too broody now.
Also, worried about age turned 34 few months ago and feel clock is ticking(just my opinion).

BFN for me too at 11dpo. AF due today. Have cramps but no sign yet but I'm guessing I'm out.

Day 20 and still no ovulation for me. I feel like a fraud going over to the January thread as I've no idea when AF will be due and didn't even get a chance to try in December in the end.

Would you say I maybe ovulated yesterday and missed the surge in the morning? Didn’t do many ovulation tests this month but I do usually ovulate around CD20 so would seem right it’s just I didn’t catch a peak

You and i have similar issues. I had an etopic which resulted in my left tube being removed at the end of September. Unfortunately I have not had a cycle since. I’ve been tracking ovulation with CBDA and just recently started temping. According to CBDA my body has tried to ovulate and according to my temps I have but I am so unsure at the moment.

Hi ladies, I’ve jumped onto the Jan thread but happy to stay here with the rest of my TTC #2 crew!

Premom and Clue are predicting ovulation on 12th Jan. I’ve got a batch of OPKs which I’ll start using tomorrow just to keep an eye on things.

Husband feels a bit sensitive that we are only DTD to try and get pregnant, which is a bit tricky to navigate…anyone else experiencing this?

we experienced the same, it felt like the “pressure” was a bit much and it was obvious that we were both thinking about it during, but it soon resumed back to normal. Are you able to do your OPKS and not share the result? As in, DTD every other day but your husband have no idea about your ovulation days etc? I wonder if that will “casual” it up a bit? X

@FantasticalCat what opk brand are you using? I have CB digitals ready again but won’t start using them until CD14 as I don’t ovulate until around CD18 so that way I only use a few a month 👌🏼
min answer to your question, yes my other half who pre baby making would have jumped at the chance to “dance” with me regardless of my reason why has become very sensitive about the reason behind it 🙄 …using him for a baby…thing is…it is what it is 🤷🏻‍♀️ that is why we are doing it at the moment! Very annoying but I have stopped talking about it & am trying to make the dancing feel a bit more natural lol

@3ornotto3 @4LeafCloverBaby yes I will definitely not mention the OPK results. Because of the PCOS we are DTD every other day throughout my whole cycle, which is a lot more than we would when we weren’t TTC! So he also feels like I have ulterior motives 😂. You’d think he’d just be making the most of all the sex!

@FantasticalCat my husband ended up tapping out due to being exhausted when we did it ever other day 🤣 he told me he's a husk now.

@FantasticalCat we were exhausted DTD every other day for the last 10 days, I can't imagine having to do it for the whole cycle. You're a power woman! Love your name btw 😄.

Interestingly, I ended up doing a bit more reading around the internet and found someone had used water to test their digital tracker when it seemed to be not working right, so I tested it with water this morning.

Lo and behold it gave the same 'High Lh' reading it has been giving me for the last 15 days! I then remembered I was tracking how I felt earlier in the month. On CD8 I tracked what felt like ovulation pain. On CD10 & CD11 I tracked EWCM. We DTD as though I were going to ovulate around the usual time anyway as the machine was giving a 'High Lh' and we were just waiting for peak, then planning to stop on 2DPO.

If the machine was giving out the wrong message the whole time, I'm hoping I did actually still ovulate around the usual time. So, I'll see what happens. AF is due 7th January.

@FantasticalCat I’m having the same problem too. We DTD once on this being our first cycle and he’s aware I’m trying to DTD to make a baby so it’s put pressure. I’m worried I’ve missed my chance this month. With our 5 year old off school and going to bed late we’ve really not been able to and any chance he’s not taken it so far. Don’t know how to navigate it like you said. He doesn’t know I’m checking OPKs either.

Yes it is so so awkward and they feel ultimate pressure and ‘can’t perform’ lol which is really irritating at times because you know you have a certain time frame 😂 but last night we dtd and I didn’t even mention ovulating etc and it worked much better lol

also I’ve never really tracked ovulation so these are my tests from the yesterday and this morning. I’d say I’ll ovulate tomorrow or even this evening? X

@KittyFantastica ahhh I spotted your name the other day - we must have very similar interests! 😻😻How frustrating that your machine isn’t working, can you check with a OPK stick and see what they say?

@Newmumwales oh wow, with a 5 yo in the mix that must be extra tricky. I’ve resorted to putting on some nice underwear to try and make the whole experience feel as romantic as possible, but doing that every other day is A LOT! I’m on cycle day 9 of 35…it’s a marathon not a sprint 😂

I don't tell mine either😹 just jump and he obliges hahah😹😹

What I struggle with is the only place I really want to have sex is when we are showered & in bed…which ends up late most of the time especially when the step kids are over. He would rather do it earlier in the evening anywhere in the house 🙄😂

@FantasticalCat Yes, luckily we came home from my in-laws a day early, so I ordered some OPKs ready for when we got in. I did one yesterday around 18:30 and another this morning at 9am. Both had the barest squinted of a line, so definitely no ovulation in sight.

I'm not holding out much hope for a positive pregnancy test, I don't have a single symptom or feel even vaguely different. I feel better just knowing the machine was faulty and I wasn't going mad though!

@FantasticalCat I have had a positive pregnancy test but in the end we did it every 3 days and it seemed to work. I just balanced it around the time that I would be ovulating according to femomiter and Flo.

I also brought him hot drinks and chocolate as an apology for exhausting him. 🤣

I have been quiet for the last few days as we had loads of family visits and then unfortunately my 14 year old dog passed away yesterday and suddenly my energy for TTC has gone. I am 8dpo and not tested because I am just not feeling it. I am not sure grief will help with TTC either. I may test tomorrow or leave it until Thursday as it is my husbands birthday on Thursday.
