Anyone TTC Dec 2023

Just looking for some company with ladies planning TTC 2023. There's already a thread for Jan 2024 but would be nice to keep company for Dec :)
Initially planned to start TTC 2024 Jan but it's feels time is going too slow and too broody now.
Also, worried about age turned 34 few months ago and feel clock is ticking(just my opinion).

I thought I wouldn't be pregnant until may!! Omg!!

My husbands run out to get a digital though I did tell him it might take a while to show up on a digital.

Definitely a line!! I got my first at 10DPO, a similar line but it didn't show on a digital until a few days later.. best one for me was the FRER. Good luck and all the best!

It does sound likely to be an early miscarriage. Hugs.

@Fawklight that's a line! Don't waste money on a digital yet though - it probably won't register this early. Wait until the day your period is due.

still no AF for me .. CD35 think i'm just putting it down to a missed period now still BFN on tests... if it is i've now no idea when i may ovulate in Jan! 🙈guess i'll have to do lots of opk's! anyone else experienced a missed period but not pregnant? it kind of has me worrying but we have had a lot going on family wise and not good stuff either so wonder if its stress related...

My fertile window has officially arrived! Advanced digital giving me a flashy smiley, and I’m getting the normal aches and twinges that I do the week before ovulation, plus sex drive has increased. I still think I might ovulate on the 23rd, but I’m hoping for the 22nd as I’m impatient!

Hey everyone! AF has just ended so I've just bought a Basal Thermometer to help monitor ovulation, any tips? I need to do it first thing in a morning right? Before I sit up? x

I have a Clearblue Fertility Monitor someone gave me and a Clearblue Digital Advanced and neither of them have ever given me the flashy smiley.

The monitor does a 'low', 'high' and 'peak' response to the tests and the digital advanced one I thought was broken because I've only used it once before to check it was working and the first day I used it there was a static smiley for 48 hours. I later found out that means peak on the one I have. What does the machine look like?

thanks @CP33 i will unless it comes in next few days but it said online more than 7 days late and not pregnant to put it down as a missed period... so back to the drawing board in Jan!

im 5DPO, have a feeling we missed the fertile window. One minute we said “let’s not TRY try, but let’s not actively not try” right at the start of the fertile window… then at the end of the fertile window we said “fuck it let’s just go for it” 😂😂 so, likely we missed our chance this month. Still doesn’t make me any less patient though 💀

i have a Tesco cheapie in the cupboard to use, non-digital, is this the best one to use if I wanted to test in 5 days time? (It’d be 2 days before my period is due)

@CP33 so bBT tips…same time every morning, before you sit up. I always have mine right next to the bed. Under the tongue & it can take about 2 mins sometimes to give you a read. Also if you tend to sleep with your mouth open it can affect it so they recommend vaginal temping…I love temping, so easy to see when you’ve ovulated! Good luck 🍀

@Fawklight congratulations. I got a BFP on 10DPO for my now 2 year old. It funny how we get it our own heads that it is going to take ages and don't think it could possibly happen quicker.
@3ornotto3 I used to love the first response tests for testing early but I think you can only get them online now. I found that the cheapy test didn't go positive for me until closer to AF or just after (can't quite remember now). I always prefer the more sensitive tests.
@Applesandcake funny you say about increased sex drive. Mine increases straight after my period so about cd3/4 and lasts until just after ovulation and then my hubby is lucky if gets sex once a week until after period as my body is no longer bothered and less aroused 😂😂

So my AF is being really weird it's just not there, taking tampons out and there's a little old light brown blood but that's it and it's only in the deepest bit of the tampon, it's never been like that, just want it to get going so it can be over with aha xx

It’s this device. When I was conceiving my first two, it would give me 4/5 days flashing (to indicate that my estrogen was rising - which happens before your LH peak), and then I would get the static. We’ll see if it does the same thing time. If I ovulate on the 23rd, as I predict, I will get a static on Friday which would mean I would have had five flashy smiley face days.

This is so spooky seeing your username. As we must have the same name/initials 😂 I had to go through my brain like shit did I change my username?

Is anyone else exhausted from having so much sex? Me and my husband were just saying that the sex we had today and yesterday was very 'functional' and not really sexy!

Hi everyone, I hope it's okay to join here, as although I'm new to this forum, I'm not new to TTC... I've been trying (for the first time) coming up to 1 year. But I'm feeling open and optimistic about the possibility of Christmastime joy!
I likely ovulated 8th/9th Dec... so should know within the next 4-7 days if this month did the trick 🙏 I had a few days in a relaxing setting right before, so hoping it could have helped.

I'm 39, been with my partner 8 years, no children (or pregnancies) yet, eating nutritiously, getting good sleep. Trying to de-stress myself more as it I have had a very intense pace of life the last x amount of years (as many of us have). I've been to the doctor for blood test, my initial results appear fine, my cycle is normal. If we don't get good news before Christmas, my partner is booked in for a fertility test in Jan, to check that side of things.

But here's hoping ;-)
