Anyone TTC Dec 2023

Just looking for some company with ladies planning TTC 2023. There's already a thread for Jan 2024 but would be nice to keep company for Dec :)
Initially planned to start TTC 2024 Jan but it's feels time is going too slow and too broody now.
Also, worried about age turned 34 few months ago and feel clock is ticking(just my opinion).

@JHL93 yeah the BFPs are making me want to too! I’ve bought one to try..

yeah I did actually drink in the TWW this time as we DTD quite late in the cycle so I didn’t think it would take, but now I’m 2 days late and I’m going mad! I’m usual good 25/26 days like clockwork and I’m on 28.. but I’m wondering if it’s not that, could the drinking have made it later? I don’t know - it’s so hard not to obsess 😂

so AF still not arrived and on CD 31 now ? which before i was on the pill is not like me - cycles were no more than 30 days! test yesterday was BFN so unsure if my cycle is going to just be abnormally long? or i need to wait to test another week or so if AF doesnt arrive...

I had a random 34 day cycle in January of this year. All my cycles are 27/28 days like clockwork and I was due AF on 25th December. I ended up doing a pregnancy test my by BIL's on New Year's Eve and was a mess of nerves because we weren't trying at the time for some solid reasons.

AF arrived in New Year's Day in the end. It's the longest cycle I've ever had and no explanation at all. Of course, I have fingers crossed that there is a very positive explanation for you for this one!

7DPO and I'm itching to do a test 🫠 but I know it's too early

@KittyFantastica i'm hoping it is a good reason and not just abnormally late too! thanks! i was on cerazette for 9 years so hope it hasn't messed my cycle up too much..
this is only cycle 2 but given i'm 36 makes me nervous but i conceived my first born without monitoring ovulation etc within 6 months so hoping it will all be fine

@Cazzy87 cycles are weird aren’t they, would be so much easier if they were consistent! Lol. I came off the pill in August after being on it for 23 years! I’m 37 now. My cycles have been 32,32 & 31 so far but I’m expecting this month maybe shorter as I ovulated a day earlier than last month. They say it can take months for some people to get a normal cycle back so maybe it’s just your cycle length messing around. I really hope it a bfp for you though! 🍀

thanks @4LeafCloverBaby me too but trying not to get too hopeful! as with my first i remember getting so worried about it for months and then when i sort of gave up trying and worrying about it every month it happened!

I was on the pill and the injection previously. The injection really messed up my cycle and took over a year to get back to normal, though that was in my 20s.

I had my Nexplanon implant out last year as we intended to start trying earlier this year and couldn't. My cycles came back to normal relatively quickly, thankfully. I was worried as I'm 35 now and have the same concerns.

@KittyFantastica i know the feeling and share the same concerns! if we are all unsuccessful this month i wish us all millions of baby dust for 2024! 🍀❤

@Cazzy87 @KittyFantastica we take this contraception without a second though when we are young don’t we & then only realise the concerns when we TTC!

hi ladies I’m also in the mid 30s club, and wanted to say that I visited a gynaecologist last year and mentioned my worries about age and she was really reassuring. She said biologically things should be relatively stable up to 40, and not to worry too much, so hoping that reassured you all!

I’m on day 26 of my cycle, no obvious ovulation symptoms so think it might be an annovulatory one for me this month.

@FantasticalCat Yes I’ve read a few articles that say that the idea we drop off some reproductive cliff in our mid-30s is a very outdated notion 🙂

I’m going to start tracking ovulation from next cycle I think. My cycle’s only 26(ish) days, so it’s a fairly short fertile window I think!

Good luck until the 27th then @4LeafCloverBaby ! Well I’ve just found out I’m not this cycle, but i should know by around 8/9/10th Jan for the next one :) I suppose that’s the positive of having a short cycle, there’s not much time to get pregnant, but the next chance comes round pretty quickly!

@CP33 thats actually pretty cool as you get 13 tries a year where as I would only get 11 or 12 due to 31/32 day cycles

@4LeafCloverBaby This is my first cycle and I wasn't expecting my 'starting block' period until today, but it arrived two days ago. So my ' should find out' date will be around 8th-10th January.

@CP33 We'll be right there together. Practically the same dates.
