Pulling sensation in lower abdomen

Hello every. I am currently in the tww 8dpo. And today i have had this weird sensation in what feels like my cervix (its hard to explain exactly where) The way I would describe it is it feels like I have UTI but without the other symptoms. It is just literally the pulling/heavy sensation down below. Has anyone else ever experienced this during their tww? This is my 5th month ttc so fingers crossed for this month 🤞 AF is due Sunday

Hi cycle buddy. I’m also 8dpo and have spent the last two days googling UTIs in early pregnancy as a symptom as it feels very much like that to me too.

I was pregnant in February (ended in MMC at 7 weeks) but felt a bit like this also.

Have you tried doing a test yet? I used an IC this afternoon and there might be something there if I really squint but have given up looking at it now and just willing it to get to tomorrow morning to test properly. Good luck this month 🤞🏻

Hey @Mummytobe2023 hope you're ok🥰 i am so sorry to hear about your miscarriage xx
My uti related symptom started today so I have also been googling about "uti feeling at 8dpo".
I haven't tried doing a test yet because the last 5 months I have been tested since 10dpo and it got abut disheartening seeing the negative and then af showing. I am due Sunday/Monday so if she doesn't show then I will test Monday/Tuesday but knowing me, I won't be able to hold out that long lol.
Let me know how the test in the morning goes. And I have everything crossed for you 🤞xx

I know I should also be holding out to test but OH is away until Thursday and this is the first time I’ve really felt positive about a cycle since the MMC so I really want to know! Our due date was also meant to be Sunday so 🙏 for a BFP before then!

Are you TTC your first?

Catherine1510 · 14/11/2023 20:17

Well if you're feeling positive about it then definitely go for it. And hopefully your OH will be returning with great news from you 🤞 i genuinely hope this is it for you xx
And this will be my 3rd. I've got a 5yo and a 13yo. The last time I conceived since then was December 2020 but I miscarried at 9 weeks. But with my first 2, I conceive in the first month with both of them but this time this is now my 5th month but I do feel abit different then the last 4 cycles so I am hopefully but not getting my hopes up too high just incase its all in my head xx

It could be implantation hun as looking back I had this exact sensation in one of my previous pregnancies before testing positive (obviously didn't know what it was at the time) but makes sense now as it must of been the little embryo burrowing into the lining of my womb I'd describe it as like a tugging sensation 😊 so you never know could get a clear blue 6 days early test? and test tomorrow, Goodluck. x

Catherine1510 · 14/11/2023 20:50

@MummyTo4BoysXXXX thank you so much for your reply. I'm trying to resist testing early this month lol my last 4 cycles I started testing from 10dpo and AF showed and keep seeing negatives has started to get disheartening so I'm trying to have some will power this time. Im due Sunday/Monday but I can see myself caving by then tbh 😂 I do feel different this time round though so hopefully this is it. The pulling in what felt like my cervix has now moved up a little bit now. It feels similar to more AF type pains now but not as strong. All this only started today and now is about the time implantation could happen so I'm hopeful but not too hopeful lol xx

@Mummytobe2023 wow congratulations. They are nice lines for 9dpo. How are you feeling?

I had this sensation in 2 of my pregnancies but there was a period or two where I had those sensations however it came back negative. Most of the time my period don't give me this sensation so it was a surprise when it happened but I wasn't pregnant. So for me, it's nearly always a pregnancy sign. The sensation stayed with me until maybe 3 months of the pregnancy.

Mummytobe2023 · 15/11/2023 09:36

Thanks. A bit shocked but happy. Just hope this one develops OK! Best of luck for testing tomorrow for you.

Catherine1510 · 16/11/2023 07:23

@Mummytobe2023 morning. I have just tested and it was a BFN for me. I'm only 10dpo so I ain't lost hope completely yet. Xx

I always had this feeling in the early days of pregnancy (I've been pregnant 3 times). Even when the test was negative I knew I was pregnant from this feeling. Good luck OP!

Mummytobe2023 · 16/11/2023 17:03

@Catherine1510 - sorry about your test this morning, I’m still keeping everything crossed for you though over the next few days 🤞🏻

Catherine1510 · 16/11/2023 18:25

@Mummytobe2023 thank you ❤ have done anymore tests?xx

And thank you @RedCoffeeCup that gives me a tiny bit of hope 😊

Hi @Catherine1510 - I tried a digital this morning and it picked up (thought it might be too early) and I’ve told OH now who is cautiously optimistic given our previous loss - just taking it one day at a time

@Mummytobe2023 I know exactly how you feel. It can be so hard to get excited, especially when you've had previous losses. If and when I conceive again, I am going to be as anxious as anything because I had a miscarriage in 2019, another one in 2020 and following that I had a pregnancy which resulted in the baby getting implanted into my c-section scar (which according to the drs, that is a very uncommon thing) so I had no choice but to have an operation because there was zero chance of survival and my scar would of ended up rupturing. My first 2 pregnancies were plain sailing but since then, it's just been one problem after another when trying to conceive but I ain't even close to giving up yet. I hope everything goes OK with you. I really do. Fingers crossed for a happy healthy sticky bean 🥰
