False positive??

Morning all.
This morning I took a cheap pregnancy test and it was negative after the 5 mins, I went to bin it after 20 mins and then saw a line. Convinced that was a evaporation line. Had a digital upstairs and that says pregnant 1-2 weeks. Beside myself as I have PCOS so been struggling to conceive (first baby). I have since taken another digital and it says not pregnant so I am beyond confused.

Has anyone else had this?

Was it all with the same urine?

No, all different urine. Top one was first urine, middle one was second urine and the bottom one is a few hours later

Your urine becomes more diluted through the day so will be harder to detect HCG. Try to test again with your first wee of the day.

These tests measure the amount of hormone in your urine. The amount will differ depending on how long you have been holding it in and how diluted it is. You might just be at the can be detected/can't be detected mark.

@Kirstyls No worries then. As people have said above, when a pregnancy is this early first or second morning urine contains the highest concentration of HCG. The later test will have read negative as the quantity of HCG would have been much more diluted by that point.

Omg I could have posted this even down to the same worktop 😂 I'm still confused and resisting the temptation to test again until Wednesday. good luck xx

@Scottyme how funny! I have just done one of the 6 days early ones and that says pregnant. I can't believe it! I know I should've waited but my legs just found themselves on the way to the toilet again! I have more confidence now. I will do another one tomorrow to triple check!!

As the others have Said you seem to be in the really early testing stage. You're fmu must have just met the cut off for the weeks indicator. Since your other urine will have been less concentrated wouldn't have met the cut off level.
I imagine you'd get 1-2 again in the am
