I ahte these kinds of threads. But anyway. Am now on day 16 of my cycle (never sure if this is called CD16? - it is, right?) and still not one positive OV stick. Nothing, nadda, zilch! not even a second line.

Has anyone here who has consistently tested ever got pregnant without actually detecting a surge?

I am with you - we have been trying for the last 6 months and nothing. I bought a ovulating kit and followed the instructions but found nothing!!!!! I already have 2 kids and fell pregnant very easily. But this time is very different.
Some women ovulate very early and others very late - it will happen - need to relax - good luck!!!

I have a friend who concluded she was not ovulating as the OPKs were always negetive. They gave up trying. The next month....she concieved her dd! Probably on day 24 of her cycle I think she said.

I dont use OPK's but I dont seem to ov till CD18-21.

on the predictor kit I've got it says not to even test for a surge til day 17 and to expect a surge a couple of days later

I have very long cycles (34-35) days so may not even be ovulating but I am definitely surging on day 19.

I've just seen on another thread your cycle is only 24 days or so? Was that you beaniestevie?

yes - that's me. Mine seems to have settled at 24 days since I came of the mini-pill. It used to be about 26/27 but my doctor says it may have changed. Thing is I was only on mini-pill for about 8 months and before that I was off the pill for about 18 months maybe 2 years and my cycle was longer then.

Maybe my body is still getting used to coming off it.

ange22222 - completely in the same boat. dd and ds came along in first month of trying, and now nothing is happening at all. I feel I can't complain as I have the textbook family, but I really, really want another baby... never detected a surge this month either with opk things, though all other indicators made me think I ov'd on about day 11 of 28? Not allowed to try next month, either, as it would be due just after xmas and dp doesn't think it's fair to give it such a rubbish birthday! Ah well...
