Late period, negative tests

My period is over a week late, but I’m testing negative with easy@home pregnancy tests. I’d be wasting money to go out and buy a clear blue test wouldn’t I?

It’s only been 3-4 months since I stopped taking the pill and my periods have been quite irregular. I’m finding it really difficult as it feels like I’m not able to time thing right. We’ve in theory been trying for a few months but I’m not sure I’m even managing to hit ovulation despite temping and OPKs.

I had irregular periods for almost 6 months after coming off the pill. I spoke to my gp who sadly wasn’t willing to do anything. He said to keep taking pregnancy tests just incase and speak to them again once I’d hit the 6 month mark. It was incredibly annoying when I was ttc so I just kept at it and kept a track of my cycle.

I would keep track of when your period starts and the length of your cycle. It may just take some time to adjust to a new cycle length. You could use ovulation tests to find out roughly when you ovulate but don’t depend on it being the same every month as it can also change.

If you’re worried I’d make an appt with your gp to talk it all through.
