Progesterone test

Hi can anyone offer advice?
I had a pro greater one test at 6DPO and came back at 27
I haven’t been offered any retesting and until I looked didn’t realise that they like over 30 to confirm ovulation.
I have bought an at home kit but my 7DPO falls on a Sunday and the tests say don’t test on the weekend as may be waiting too long for testing in the lab.
would you test the Monday? Or wait another cycle and see if I ovulate on a week day.

my luteal phase is only 10/11 days and so don’t know even if earlier testing might be worth it as might peak earlier.

many advice at all is welcome!!!!

Hello

I've had many progesterone tests and have mine tested every month so I've had this same dilemma!

I'm not surprised your progesterone is low as your LP is so short, I have the same issue.

I'd say test on the Monday as the Friday may be too early. I'd also suggest seeing if your GP will do the test for you as apparently blood straight from a vein is more reliable than the finger prick method.

Good luck x

Thank you @JuniperandI
i will do that and see what happens.
My GP or the fertility GP I was referred to don’t seem to care about my short luteal phase or progesterone. I have asked for a retest but I have had a blanket response that I won’t have anyone contact me for around 3 weeks as it is non emergency which is what led to the at home test!
honestly feel like screaming!!

That's so frustrating! My GP didn't care about my low progesterone either, but I've had to get a private fertility dr who has me on low dose naltrexone for my terrible PMS, HCG injections to help my body kick up the progesterone production and Letrozole to stimulate my follicles.
The drugs are working, my levels have improved a lot.

How long have you been trying for?

Oh wow @JuniperandI that is amazing you’ve managed to get that. I don’t even know where to start feel like it’s all a bit mind blowing.
well i am trying for second baby, never went back on birth control after my first who is 4 now but officially been trying properly for around 18 months now!
