Flooded ovulation test

Can flooding an ovulation test make it false positive? I tried to do it quick and didn’t use a cup to dip it in and it flooded a bit. The result was positive and now I’m not sure if it’s false. I remember a long time ago I did this and I don’t think the result was far off. I’m very los on tests and don’t want to waste any more. I grabed another one and dipped it into the bit of pee I could squeeze out and it’s negative.

I don't know this scientifically but when I've tried to pee directly onto the test and get too much on it, I never get an accurate result on opk or hpt
I only know because if I held out and did another in say 1 or 2 hours then it would be different
Im always rushing so I definitely know the rushed test life 🤣💖

I’m gonna go with false positive and see when my cervix shows I’m ovulating.
