BBT chart low temps?

Hi all I’m on month 3 of ttc. First month charting temps. It has picked up ov and I know I have ovulated because I always get sore boobs immediately afterwards and my cm changes. However, I’m a little concerned that my temps, after initially shooting right up, seem to just be hovering around coverlime? This morning after prickly scratchy type pains yesterday I’ve had one wipe of spotting which was light red in colour. I would feel hopeful at this (7dpo) but my temps are making me wonder if I have low progesterone. Backstory is I did conceive first month of trying a few months back but had a mc, I don’t know if that makes a difference.

Hello, I have very similar temps - pre ovulation I’m below 36 and rarely get above 36.2 after ovulation. I did a progesterone test and it was a bit low (28.5) - you can order the 21 day progesterone tests online (I got one from Superdrug). My understanding is low progesterone can make miscarriage more likely - is it worth speaking to your GP?

Thank you for replying. That’s interesting, have you been prescribed progesterone supplements? I think I’ll see how the rest of the cycle goes then make an appointment x

Nope I haven’t actually spoken to Gp about it yet, but I have started taking B6 to see if it helps 🤞🏻

@Violetsun79 worth speaking with your gp, your temps are pretty low. It may indicate a hormonal imbalance or maybe anovulation.

Also worth checking thyroid 😊

Now 9dpo and temp has shot up last couple of days. Then this morning when I had a wee I had a bleed, enough to go into the loo so not just a wipe. Although it has stopped now. It was a rusty light red. I’m not hopeful now at all 😢

How did you get on, did you have low progesterone? I have similar bbt and currently TTC. I hope you got there! Thanks!
