Help! Pre-mom and CB showing different results?

Hi, completely baffled here:

Took a CB digital ovulation test yesterday and got clashing smiley on FMU.

Re-took it today with a new holder and got empty circle at 8pm.

Re-took it with the holder I used yesterday and got a flashing smiley at 8:05pm.

Took a pre-mom ovulation test and got low 0.26 at 8:15pm.

Can anyone explain this?

You can't use different holders on clear blue. It works by setting a baseline (why you're meant to start taking it on a certain day of your cycle) so the first day you use it will always be blank. Then I think it flashes when your baseline triples and then peaks at 5 time baselines (nos may be slightly different).

The premom ones work by just giving you a rough estimate of what your number is now. At this minute. For most people their peak will be over 1 which is when the line gets darker than the control. Despite what it says on the tin this isn't the case for everyone. Some people peak at much lower levels (you can adjust this number over several cycles). I've never had above 0.5 and yet been pregnant twice (once with fraternal twins). But my baseline is 0.08. It's more about seeing when it gets darker and darker compared with the rest of the month.

Neither test should be used on a single day In isolation.

The time you test can occasionally affect the results. Check instructions or online for the best time to test for most accurate results.

Also did you pee twice within 10 minutes?? Your second pee will be very weak then..you're meant to hold for at least two hours

Thanks so much everyone! Pretty clueless with all of this, have probably tested completely wrong!
