Hi, this is my first pregnancy so I am new to it all, so many people have asked me if I've had morning sickness yet and when I answer no they tell me that I should be worried and should ring the doctors? I am only 7 weeks pregnant so i am still only early and didn't think I would have it yet should I be worried? I know people that have gone through the whole pregnancy with no sickness

Do not call the doctors because you don't have sickness. Not everyone does. I've been lucky enough not to have any sickness in two pregnancies

Lizzieregina · 06/11/2023 16:11

I know loads of people that never had a minute of morning sickness. I was jealous!

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Is it a bad thing you are not sick? When pregnant?

You may be lucky and not have any or just a little. Not being sick is not a reason to go to GP.

I wouldn't have rang I would have just asked when I went to my midwife appointment. Just so many people have asked me

@Chelseaaaaa I don’t think it’s a bad thing. The people I knew who didn’t suffer from nausea had healthy babies.

For context, all my DH’s sisters never had nausea, and neither did my MIL. All my sisters were sick and so was my mum.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!
I wouldn’t take it as anything to worry about all pregnancies are different, some have morning sickness, some don’t, everyone’s different. You’re still early on you may even get it in a few weeks or you may be lucky enough to get none. If you’re concerned mention it to your midwife on next appointment I’m sure she’ll be able to reassure you.

Thank you so much❤️

I don't know why people like to worry you when pregnant doesnt do much for the baby the stress.!

Especially when they say if you are not sick its a sign you may miscarry 🙄

Ignore all advice that is just being guessed or because they had it it’s not normal for people to not have it. Any concerns ask the professionals 😊

@Froze35 absolute bollox
"it’s not normal for people to not have it"
20-30 percent of women don't have morning sickness

Froze35 · 06/11/2023 17:41

I think you’ve misunderstood, I’m saying that from the perspective of people giving her advice. I’m aware not everyone has it I had 2 babies and no sickness with either
