Oral when TTC

Question for you lovely ladies.... my partner finds it easier to finish if I give him a minute or so of oral at the start. Now I'm panicking that saliva kills sperm. I'm guessing it's the saliva on him that then goes into me that can be harmful? Do I need to find a new way to help him or has anyone had a BFP having oral?

From what I've ready it would only be if you planned to finish him in your mouth and then transfer the sperm? I cannot believe I have just written that sentence!

I thought it was more the man's saliva on the woman that created an inhospitable environment.

Thanks both... so hard to decide what's fact and what's fiction without going totally insane! My TWW starts tomorrow so currently torturing myself we have harmed our chances!

I should say I conceived a child before knowing this. Can't you just wipe off the saliva? Or don't put any near the "business end"?

I have 3 kids and we do oral both ways all the time. It's never caused an issue.
