Hello, I’m 8dpo and have had cramps and this browny clotty blood for the last 2/3 days. Now it’s barely there but the cramps are still present. They feel a tiny bit like period pains but no way near as strong!

Due on next Sunday. So am a bit worried about what this could be. I’ve been Googling everything and don’t think it’s implantation as the blood looks too heavy.

Any thoughts? Sorry for the tmi pics!

People can speculate, but no one can know definitively what it is. Unfortunately a test in a few days is the best indicator, but not long left to wait!

Looks very similar to other peoples implantation pictures, at 8dpo it sounds very promising 💕

Thank you both for your messages. I’ve not experienced this before, does implantation normally cause cramps?

From what I’ve read it does very often. Exactly the same. X

Thank you @40andtrying1 & @CR7 I really appreciate your replies. The diagram is helpful.

I’m not sure it is implantation, I’ve had cramps and browny, pink, clotty blood as the pictures show it looks quite heavy. My tummy is gurgling too, this may have nothing whatsoever to do with anything but who knows.

Over the last week I have had sore boobs, this has gone now and twice whilst eating I thought I was going to be sick. Really bizarre, I couldn’t swallow the food and had to spit it out and felt that feeling of just wanting to vomit but didn’t once I got rid of the food in my mouth.

I’m 38 and concerned that this may be perimenopause rather than conception. I guess I just don’t want to let myself think the best as this has never happened before!

I’m due on next Sunday so will just have to be patient and wait to test.

It could be implantation bleeding, day 8/9 is prime time for it.

I’m on CD21, 9dpo and have had some dull electric shock type feelings on my left lower abdomen today, and some twinging through to my back. My period is also due on Sunday!

You can’t have pregnancy symptoms until the Blastocyst has successfully implanted and secretion of hCG has begun. By the time you’d have noticeable pregnancy symptoms I.E. nausea, etc then you’d mostly likely have detectable levels of hCG on an early result home pregnancy test.

Implantation bleeding is caused by the last stage of implantation, so in 2-3 days time you might be able to get a faint positive on a test, but is better to wait until missed period.

I’m 37 and have severely diminished ovarian reserve, IVF described as hopeless by consultant as I only grow one follicle a month, I’m always symptom spotting for peri-menopause, it’s a really awful anxious state to live in so I relate and empathise completely.

Thanks you for your replies @CompanyisComing.

I took a pregnancy test, one of the clear blue ultra early digital ones and it was a BFN. So now I’m just a bit worried about what it could be. I’m just going to make a docs appointment and find out what’s going on.

Thank you to everyone who replied, I think I just got excited this was finally it! Xx
